It's got a kindof nasty coil whine to it. Not going to lie, if I had to sleep near it, I'd be cranky.
But I don't. I have it parked in my basement, in the laundry room over a mini fridge I use to keep snacks while I work in the shop downstairs.
The nuggets are great, chewable, not too hard at all. It produces an adequate amount of ice for my daughter and I. it can produce several glasses of ice from a single filling.
So far it's been a good buy. Just be aware of the noise it throws. There is some noticeable heat output too, if you're near it. If you park it in your laundry room or somewhere in your kitchen, I doubt you'll notice it over your existing appliances.
