    I found by placing the syphon straight down into the gravel, I have river rock pebbles and then pressing bulb that is in a waste bucket, the suction works well and quickly. It cleans very well, just watch your bucket people. Lol. Very pleased.

    I used mine for the first time today to clean my fish tank. It done exactly what I needed it to do. Speed of the flow is manageable. I’m new to owning fish but this was very easy to use and works great. Way cheaper than the pet stores and aquatic shops around me. It seems to be made of good quality material. I ordered the 5 foot hose because I have a small tank. It is plenty big enough for what I need!

    The product works well for my larger fish tanks but not so great for the smaller ones that are 10 gallons or less. It was easy to assemble and does not leak but it can be difficult to get water out of the tube once it is in there. So after a cleaning you may just have some nasty water sitting in the tube until next cleaning. It picks up sand well so in my tank that had sand substrate it would pick up that but not the waste because the fish waste was larger than the sand. It’s a bit difficult to clean but other than that I have no real problems with it. I would say if you have smaller fish that are not major waste producers and if you are okay losing a bit of the sand substrate (if you have sand) then this product is worth it and good for a beginner fish tank owner/keeper. But I would advise against getting it for smaller tanks because it will not work as well and may not work at all.

    I got a 10 gal tank and the size is perfect for this take. It took out most of the food at the bottom and didn't pick up any of the rocks. Easy to use even for my 7 year old. Works well overall

    I wish that it came with a longer siphon tube for deeper tanks, but otherwise, this is the best siphoning equipment I have used. It pulls up the dirt and leaves the gravel. It is amazing. I don't know how they designed it. Good job!
