This mask is constructed beautifully, in fact most of these were sold out during summer of2016. Love the extra protection for the side of my sweeties face (she's been getting pounded there)...but will say right off, didn't measure my horse's face as it mentions where and how to do so...does give very detailed instructions for this...in the past few years I've only gotten the cashell masks...last year we did wounded warrior masks(sponsored and supposed to raise money for them)...but the mask we got last year didn't have the nose protection, and it fit perfectly...if a bit too snug around her jaw line and chaffing occurred along edge of mask behind her ears...however with out that protection she'd never go outside with bugs...this mask is awesome, and in both instances ordered the "horse" size as she's a Friesian sport horse, her face tends to be narrower and longer...but measurements are off more so on this mask...she tolerates it, but not sure she can see through it as clearly as she could the one without the nose protection. Again, my fault for not measuring, and still probably should measure her face for future reference involving these amazing bug bite protectors...will provide photos.
The photo with the silver and blue mask was the cashell wounded warriors one...found that it worked best to cut parts of the Velcro as it doesn't properly fit face tight enough without cutting inner piece...the gray mask with the evident nose piece is the new one..,and the one I'm reviewing...it's effective, but worry if it gapes open that possibly she'll get bitten by bugs...there's no way to tighten/shorten this area either.
