    I bought these in February and then we didn't have any snow so I didn't open the package until this weekend. We had a light snow Sunday and again Monday, so we put these out on the steps and part of the walk. It was still snowing when I took the picture, but you can see the snow isn't sticking to then at all. It was nice going out to the car without worrying about ice.

    I am looking at getting stair tread mats though instead of trying to place the mat on the steps (as I have it in the picture) because it doesn't lie flat, but overall I found these to be helpful.

    Opened the box,,,it smells,so I suggest take it outside and open it.They do let you know about it.I bought a different brand it was the same smell,it goes away after a day or soo,but they work really well!

    This mat lasted only two months and then stopped working. It is a lesson learned for me.

    I was lured in by the price. My Heat Trak mats, by contrast, are twice as expensive, but are all on their fifth winter.

    In the long run you will save no money by purchasing this inferior heat mat.

    Bought four of these. Even with the discount, I would not pay this much again for them. The mats work to heat up just fine, but will not lay flat. Have had them out for three weeks now and still rolls. Tried their reverse rollup, bungee straps and ran for heat to make sure the rubber was soft, still won't lay nice and flat. One of the grommets snapped when trying to strap the mats down.

    We received the mat just before a heavy snow. It works great. I would recommend it to anyone living in a snow belt.
