    These are REALLY nice for the price. My daughter is 6 and wanted to have this for when she is in her room in case she needed mommy at night. It's been an amazing thing when she is scared or needs to get up for something she can just "call me". Easy to use, sound is perfect, and we have even used them outside a long ways apart! They work great, and it's nice you can LOCK the child's one so they don't change the channel, volume etc.

    The flashlight comes in handy too for nighttime bathroom runs for her! It's amazing!

    I am so glad for honest reviewers on Amazon. We bought several Disney kids walkie talkies for our 3-year old granddaughter (going on 12) and they were terrible, with loud static even when not being used. But after returning them and reading the reviews on these Retevis, I decided to give them a try. They work great, we tried them all over the house and then all over our 2 acre property and they were clear with no static, even at pretty long distances (e.g. one inside and one outside across the yard & woods).

    In addition to multiple channels to select in case you get interference, it has a ringer to let someone know you are calling, volume controls and a beep every time you press talk (which you can turn off but we thought would be easy to help granddaughter learn how to use them) and it has a flashlight built right in. She loves them, especially in pink. I thought they were so well made and excellent sound, I have already purchased another pair for our home for us to use, at least until our granddaughter comes over. 8-)

    We also appreciate Prime since our granddaughter was disappointed the others didn't work and we had to return them but we were able to get these replacements to her in 2 days, you just can't beat that!

    I got these as a Christmas present for my little sister. She enjoys them. Although they can be a little creepy at times, there’s an echo on certain channels and it seems to be a ghost.

    Bought these for my daughter's. Turns out we were able to pick up other channels on these walkie talkies. We did recon and info gathering on a illegal drug ring that we picked up on one of the channels. We then set up a sting and busted the largest 8th grade drug ring in all of southern California. Skibbidy rizz.

    Purchased these in February for my daughter after buying a very inexpensive pair that didn't even work in the same room. They were great initially. She was hiding all over the house messaging in. She used them quite a bit and burnt through the batteries within a week. We didn't have 8 AAA batteries sitting around so they got tossed aside and forgotten about. Pulled them out last week to try and fire them up again with fresh batteries and they won't even turn on. What a bummer!

    But, there is a happy end to this story. The seller contacted us immediately after hearing the Walkie Talkies were no longer working and offered to replace them free of charge, even though we bought them so long ago. So, we have a fresh pair and my daughter is delighted! We'll be sure to store them a bit more carefully in the future (probably remove the batteries) if they aren't going to be used for a while.

    My three year old daughter was so excited to receive her new walkie talkie gift so she can play in the back yard or at neighbors homes safely. The big bonus was these are pink. They worked great for us, but only for a month!! There are issues in the battery terminal. The medal pieces come loose and the walkie talkie would not recognize the new batteries were in there. I tried putting foil in the help and that worked for a week. Now they will no longer turn on. This was a bummer for me a mom on a budget. Other than that issue the walkie talkies had great range and clear, not fuzzy channels. These would have been perfect if they weren't so cheaply made.
