I have recently gotten into crocheting, and I ordered this kit with the intention of using it to help teach my niece who wants to learn how to crochet. While this is overall a pretty simple amigurumi, I felt like this kit isn't necessarily the best for true beginners. The instructions were definitely not as clear as others I have one.

Having the instructions be only electronic is a major negative to me, but I'm an old. I like having video tutorials available for when written instructions don't quite make sense, but I prefer to be unplugged when crafting and not looking at my phone or computer. I also wish it had a box or better packaging, as the zippered opening on the bag is so tight that it is hard to get the materials in and out of it, so it's not great for storing your work.

On the plus side, both colors of yarn are pre-started in a magic loop (although as a left handed person, I had to undo them and restart them to have the stitches going the correct way for me). The yarn is smooth and nonfraying, so it is easier to work with than a standard acrylic worsted.

Absolute beginner here but instructions are not detailed at all and what does not help especially is the QR code video that’s included has a person who is left handed. I get it there are left handed people out there but for the bass majority of us that are right handed, it’s absolutely cluessless for us

Went into this croquet kit with absolutely no knowledge of the craft, but it was honestly pretty straight forward! Instructions were very clear, materials are all user and beginner friendly, and felt pretty accomplished after finishing it.

Although I received this item through the vine program, I would consider getting another one for a friend as a gift. Yes, technically it is cheaper to buy the yarn and stuff separately, but you are really paying for the convenience of having everything you need to complete the project and the step by step guide.

I'm not skilled at crochet, but i feel like the instructions could be a bit more clear in some instances. I had to double reference some other tutorials off youtube and google to get anywhere with this kit.

Other than that it feels complete even though the tools are fairly Cheap they're good if this is your first go at it. And it's nicely packaged too!

My only other gripe is that the type of kit is not indicated on the packaging it's a very generic packaging and the only way you would know what type it is is by reading the product sticker that has been applied to it.

My wife loves to knit and has been inviting the young neighbor girls over for lessons. Young Kids do not have the dexterity to use 2 needle so crocheting is a great start for them. These kits contain all the necessary materials and needle and the project doesn’t take long to create a useful object.

Overall this is a cute set - comes with everything you need to make a little crochet frog, but a few points to know:
- the bag is small and the opening is tight: we had to cut it to get everything out, so the bag isn't intended to be considered reusable.
- there are no markings or indicators on the bag of what character is inside.
- the instructions are only digital. It comes with a QR code to watch a tutorial. It's easy enough to follow, but would have been nice to have written info as well.
