About this item

PORTABLE BONFIRE: This compact wood stove assembles in seconds without any tools required, making it easy to transport and store. It provides a remarkably portable, durable fire pit for an unparalleled outdoor fire experience.
SECONDARY COMBUSTION: Cleverly positioned holes in the double-wall structure draw air from the base, feeding the heated oxygen to the top. This creates a surge of hot air over the fire, reducing smoke without the need for batteries or fans.
EFFICIENT BURN: With this bonfire burning almost smoke-free, you'll spend less time avoiding smoke and more time savoring the fire and reconnecting with what's important! Plus, no more dealing with half-burnt logs.
ASH PAN: Our handy ash pan catches loose ash to prevent clogging of vital airflow. It also acts as a heat shield, reducing heat transfer to the ground beneath. The ash pan can be removed for easy ash disposal.
ACCESSORIES: The cross-shaped base protects heat-sensitive surfaces. Extra handles ensure easy mobility of the fire pit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Burns well. Good value for the price. No reason to buy the expensive brands.

For reference I bought the 8.6" version and I've only tried burning wood and not pellets. I will update when I try pellets. Out of the box the quality of the product looks good. The feet easily fold out, all parts fit well, and the carrying bags (while not the highest quality) works fine. After a long day of burning, the only change I saw was the smoke ring which is in the line of the flames the entire time so expected. It did leave a cool patina on the ring.

I grabbed a 16lb bag of Kingsford Hickory wood chunks to use. These range from fist size chunks down to almost finger size chunks. Once I got it started with some kindling, it burned really well. I'd toss 3 chunks in there and would need to add 1-2 more every 5-10 minutes. Because the stove burns so hot, it turns those dry chunks in to coal pretty fast so the coals go in to a smoldering state and aren't giving out flame. This leads to the coals building up. I started burning at the beginning of the football game and then at half time (90 real time minutes) I had to empty the hot coals because they were getting built up to the air holes in the top of the stove. Left about a handful of coals in the bottom, threw more chunks it and it fired right back up. I ended up doing the same at the end of the game and then by halftime of the next game it was almost full again. It still burns when getting full, your wood is just sticking pretty far out of the stove. I'm sure with different woods the experience may be different.

It puts out some heat so be careful getting close. Overall I'm happy with this stove and don't see a reason to buy one of the more expensive name brands.

This thing works great. It's heavy duty and has stood up to weathe, being left outside. I recommend using pellets but beware it eats them like they are candy it burns so well.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one to purchase!

We have had multiple fire pits, always nice but always smokey. When the Solo stoves came out we liked the idea but didn’t like the prices. We purchased this fire pit after looking at multiple pits. Quality material, fast shipping, easy to assemble, and works great. You will have smoke when first lighting the fire until it fully heats up. Once rolling it greatly reduces the smoke and works as well as solo brand pits we’ve been around. Flames are centralized so do not place the pit under an awning, heat radiates great and you don’t have to be close to it. Highly pleased and highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works very well, much like my larger Solo, but one caveat...
Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2023
I have fired this up a few times now, trying small pieces of wood and wood pellets. Wood pellets work best and last the longest, probably about 30-45 minutes with the fire pit about 1/2 to 2/3 full. Once the heat builds up and the gasification kicks in, it works very well, with a strong fire around the upper holes and a nice 2-3' flame.

There is one issue with wood pellets, once you pile it on, it is a bit difficult to get the pit to fire up, as the holes seem to be blocked by all the pellets. If you can keep the center a bit less piled up and keep the pellets on the sides, it works better. There needs to be a center stainless air shaft that allows air to get into the center of the pellets. You can get fire starter gel, or use 75% cheap hand sanitizer gel to spread around and light it though, and eventually it will take off.

The ash pan that you pull up through the center that is to collect the ashes seems to get hung on the sides, it is so closely the same diameter. This means ashes and unspent fuel, etc will fall off the sides into the bottom and then you have to do this tilt up, then down and shake dance to get it fully emptied out. Not a big thing, but just something to consider.

This was good enough a product I bought a second. It will make for a great travel pit to a park or a family outing where 2-3 people could do smores. It packs up well and has a tote to store it. So if you can get a fire started and don't mind the little bit extra work to shake out the debris, this may work for you.

I have recommended this stove to many of my friends and clients who cannot see themselves shelling out ???? on the name brand that rhymes with YOLO. Looks great. Affordable. Easy to clean. And used wood or pellets as main fuel

    5.0 out of 5 stars great stove/firepit

I purchased this for by boyfriend's birthday. He was very happy to receive it. I was thinking of buying a solo stove but the price was a bit much, so I opted for this one based on the reviews. The stove is easy to put together, holds up nicely, burns wood great, no smoke unless you overfill it which we did at first. The wood burns to ash and lasts a long while. The stand is a great addition. Great stove. Can't wait to take camping for roasted marshmallows.

Compact and effective heating, but the fire pan and rim are poor quality. They rusted quickly, and were destroyed by the fire in just one year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this, but needs better instructions
Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2024
This is such a great deal for the price. It works really well and is mostly smokeless. Starting it up/it going out can be a little smokey, but manageable and short lived. The flame is manageable and gets pretty warm if you're doing it right!

My biggest complaint is that the instructions are mostly useless. I googled a video of the name brand smokeless mini stove to figure out this one had small legs and how to use it with pellets. Highly recommend googling other brands for instructions prior to use.
