Purchased the Westinghouse 22 Snowblower on Amazon. I needed a small snowblower to clear my deck and patio form snow to let my 2 dogs out. I live just south of Buffalo NY 3 miles off lake Erie. As luck would have it the evening I received the delivery we were getting hit with heavy lake effect snow. Next morning I went out to the garage and assembled the blower. Directions are clear and easy to follow if you read them if you don't you will end up taking it a part to get it right. (and I only did this when my wife came out to help). It then went together easily. I took it right out and gave it a try WOW! There was a little less than a foot of wet snow this Westinghouse 22" blower has lot of power and throws the snow a good distance. The blower worked perfectly. I love it, so glad I purchased it.

Product arrived well packaged and undamaged. On first appearance the product is solid, sturdy, and well built. Product was easy and quick to assemble. Not completely happy with the way the handle folds. You have to unscrew the fasteners to the point of them falling apart to begin to rotate the handle into a folding configuration. Also if you fold the lower section of the handle, it clumsily interacts with the chute adjustment handle pushing the grommet out of place which was really tough to reposition without damaging it. User manual is clear and legible. Did not have snow as of the writing of this review, but connected the snowblower to power and started it to confirm it worked. It sounds somewhat like a vacuum cleaner, yet well designed and blows a hefty amount of air out of the chute. Looking forward to finding out how it performs in the snow.

Easy to put together, lightweight and very maneuverable. That means a lot to me as an elderly person that doesn’t have a lot of strength. Westinghouse has always been a good brand and looking at the overall quality this will live up to the name, built way better than others I’ve seen.

Works well for the price. Was missing a couple things for assembly though.

Easy to assemble and I like the construction. I thankfully still have no snow but it sounds great. Looking forward to my first actual use.

We are excited to use this corded electric snowblower with LED lights. The assembly was a breeze, and it is lightweight making it easy to maneuver. Although we haven’t had a chance to use it yet as there is still no snow, my husband tested it out to see if it’s working, and was really impressed with the motor’s power. He is actually looking forward to some snow so we can put it to work. Since we only need to clear our driveway and walkway, the cord length is manageable for us, and we have heavy duty extension cords just in case. The compact storage is another bonus, we can easily tuck it away in the garage when it’s not in use. We’re optimistic about the snowblower and can’t wait to see how well it performs once the snow arrives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for an inexpensive snowblower, let me tell you all about it…

In many ways, I am impressed with this snowblower, although it does also have its faults. I was impressed with the relatively small box that arrived, and that it did not require that much assembly, and also that the instructions were fairly straightforward. I like that the only four bolts that needed to be installed were made such that they slide through the holes easily, and on the other end, a knob is twisted on, so that no tools are needed at all for this assembly. Aside from those four knobs that screwed onto bolts, the rest of the assembly involved clipping on the plastic attachments and attaching the metal control rod with the included cotter pins, which similarly did not require any tools. I like that the unit is relatively light in weight, much lighter than our gas snowblower. On the other hand, I would note that the auger’s are made of thinner looking metal, also reducing the weight, and those augers are reinforced with a leather like material, which is bolted onto the auger blades. I am expecting that that material will help to sweep the snow into the shoot, all the more efficiently, but I also am not sure how well it will hold up overtime. You will need an outdoor weather-resistant extension cord, noting that you will need a beefier (lower gauge number) cord if you are getting a long cord. If you make something of a figure-8 with the two cord ends prior to attaching them (as you can see in my attached photo) then that should help prevent the cord from coming undone when tugged on when using the machine. I think you will see the same recommendation in the instructions. It does not require any real force to pull the power, lever, noting that you must press the safety button on the side of it when first pull that lever, and then that safety button can be released. It seems to have good power and should do a good job of moving snow, though not expecting it to meet the performance of a larger more expensive machine. Because the machine is lightweight, it does make it so much easier to move it around and to store it between uses. I attached a number of photos to show the machine I received, including photos of all the parts prior to assembly and then also how it looks once it is put together, as well as the assembly portion of the instruction manual. I do hope some of this is helpful for you. I do like this machine.
