I've been on this nostalgia trip & have been trying to replay games from my youth. Decided to buy this one & give it a go.

I'm actually SHOCKED that this game not only worked on my Windows 10 laptop, but also didn't crash at all! For a decades-old game, that's impressive. I think I lowered the resolution on my computer, which probably helped the game run smoother.

My laptop doesn't have a CD drive, so I use an external one. Not sure if that makes a difference... Just something to keep in mind. But it was really fun to play this game & relive my childhood. Still great, even though it only took a few hours to beat the whole game.

I purchased this set for my 8 yr old daughter in 3rd grade. She is enjoying the Mathra game but doesn't seem to like the Mystery Mansion much yet, for some reason. She keeps going back to the Mathra game and she will play it for hours, it holds her interest and she doesn't get frustrated with it, even though it does seem to challenge her skills. She has requested that we get more Cluefinders games for her to play and learn with. I have Windows XP on a desktop PC and we do have some issues with this game freezing-up, she says it does save where she's at, so she just turns everything off and reloads the disc, it doesn't seem to bother her much. I'm not sure if it's a software issue or perhaps it's an issue with clicking the mouse too fast or too often and freezing the PC, just be aware of this if you buy this disc set. I consider this a good purchase for us.

After coaxing my laptop to play it, it was great. A wonderful nostalgic moment....but that's it, a moment... game wont play anymore. Now getting error message

The best video game/ edutainment game in the world. although I finished it in just under 11 minutes so it doesn't take too long to beat. TLC version is better than the Mackiev version btw.

My six-year-old loved this game. That is, until I had to make him take a break from it because the adaptive difficulty was moving him too quickly. He was getting multiplication problems right (but taking forever because he was doing problems like 12x9 by taking 12+12+12+12+12+12+12+12+12--he didn't have the problems memorized yet), so the game bumped him up to division. he's just not quite there yet, so he can't play the game again until he is, which is a shame because he loves the game.

I bought this software for my 5 year old. He's a little young for it, but we made the most of it. We don't do a lot of TV or video games so he wasn't put off by the lower quality graphics. Overall, a good purchase.
