    I loved this low angst, fast paced, wonderful romance. The characters were engaging and fun to root for. The MC is overpowered, but uses their intelligence and heart to resolve problems more than their power. The world building and plot was fantastic and addictive to read. The saddest part was - no sequel! This is one I’m sure I’ll be reading again and again when I need a pick me up. I’ll also be eagerly awaiting the other authors contributions to the fae coin series.

    This book is the first of a 15 volume collection by multiple authors that will be published over the next 6 weeks. The series is called Fortune Favors the Fae, and features a talking Fae coin that will appear in each book as the catalyst for that story.

    If you like webtoons or isekai manga/LN's, you'll probably like this book. It starts out with the quintessential isekai story, guy hit by truck-kun wakes up in medieval setting. Add in the common webtoon tropes of Duke of the North and holy maiden needs to clear miasma, and that's this story. Both of the mc's are great, the secondary cast are all lovable, this book was a fun romp through silly tropes. I enjoyed it immensely! I'll definitely be reading more in this series.

    I am a sucker for a good portal fantasy/isekai story so this was an absolute delight! It was very reminiscent of other isekai stories of read but it was still fun and oh so tropey! I'm glad the book didn't take itself too seriously. The summoned Holy Maiden vs mysterious miasma is a classic plot but it's always wonderful to see it done with queer characters. The interactions between the main character, Jake, and the Fae Coin were hilarious and very witty! I loved the romance between Jake and Theon! It was adorable! I'm kind of sad that this is all we'll get of this world but I'm okay with how it ended.

    I never thought a gold coin could be the catalyst for such an adventure. When I first started this book I’ll admit I was a little skeptical. I’d seen it on my recommended list a few times and passed over it every time, mostly cause of the title. But, the second I picked it up I wasn’t able to put it down. It was so so so good. It’s super easy to follow along with (some fantasy books feel like homework) and the characters are just so freaking lovable. I would kill for Jake and Theon is goals!!! Only a business man, as if.
    This book is 100% worth the read. I read it in like 4 hours over the course of a few days (I’m a fast reader) and I was hooked every second.
    There was never a point I felt like it dragged.
    Anyway, overall a fantastic book and def worth the read. At the very least a peruse if you will lol.

    Among the criteria against which I judge anywesome. book I read is the capacity for the writing to evoke bursts of uncontrollable laughter. Sherwood has hit that mark not once or twice, nor even thrice, no…, she beat this into the ground and then stomped on its remains, all the while chanting, “How do you like them apples?”

    I seriously lost track of how many times I found myself literally laughing out loud. It was awesome!

    Not only is this a good read, a very well-crafted story with excellent writing, but it’s downright hilarious as well. I mean, really, when I read the title, I don’t know how I could’ve expected it to be anything. OTHER than hilarious, but I guess I did. I’m not complaining… Not by any means!

    This is a rip roaring, slightly predictable, but who cares, enjoyable romp through gay fantasy/romance, and it’s just pure fun. Enjoy!!!

    When I started this I thought I might want a fae coin of my own, but after seeing how much trouble Coin likes to cause, I’ve decided I’ll pass. Lol. I really enjoyed this story! I loved Jake and Theon and felt their connection right away. I love the world building and the challenge of the miasma. It made me just as anxious as the citizens, especially when they ventured in it to try to find the source. What they found though? Omg. Made me smile so big. I had a hard time stopping reading after that, even though it was late. Overall I really enjoyed this story! It’s a great start to a fun series. Now on to see what trouble Coin causes in Michelle Notaro’s story!

    One thing I love about this author’s books is that her characters are both funny and likable. She manages this with out going the TSTL route many authors fall into when trying to be funny. I absolutely love this book. Her writing just keeps getting better. I love not just her main characters but also her minor ones except the truly evil ones. The ways her characters deal with them it just too funny.
    This book uses music in some interesting ways and I caught myself singing her lyrics to the melodies of the original songs. This is a funny, heartwarming story with wonderful characters and a mouthy coin. I would recommend this book everyone.
