About this item

Randidly Ghosthound threw down the gauntlet, and his closest supporters have taken it up. Soon, the two sides will clash in the Challenge of Donnyton.

As both make their preparations, the goals of the two are very different. Randidly wants to show how they cannot rest on their laurels, how under the System, there will always be one more monster, one more Calamity, one more "Creature" watching the development of their planet and plotting how to extract everything of value.

He witnessed the brutality of the Second Calamity on Tellus and does not want his own world to be so scarred.

Yet on the other side of the challenge, the people of Earth want to send a different message: Randidly Ghosthound, you do not need to carry this burden alone. Chasing his shadow, the people of Earth have grown strong.

In the wake of the challenge, Randidly will head into a Dungeon to train. There, he will discover clues of how ancient the struggle to escape the Calamities truly is.

And he will also unearth a darkness that can wound even the System itself...

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent series

World crafting has been pretty much done by this book, and while it was a lot of character growth for the MC, it was purposeful and well done. Now we have a lot of loose ends, an end game in site, and a lot of events hanging onto this cliff that we now find ourselves.

This series is fantastic and I cannot wait for the next installment. Very well done.

Good story, but enough misspellings to yank me out of it. Spec instead of speck, barred instead of bared, bare instead of bear are the main ones I remember. A few missing words from a sentence that adjectives were supposed to define. This author needs a final proofreader to catch these minor issues as the story itself is really good.

Great character development, love these books and the building of this universe. Even overpowered main character knows there is always a bigger fish.

I do not understand how an author could continue with so much material and continue to creep up the power and the depth of a story but this author does. If for some reason you are reading this review and you have not read the first book yet. I highly recommend it. This has got to be one of the most consistent and well done series that I've ever read and I've read literally hundreds of books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read but slow in parts, repetitive, needs proof reading

Good read, however, slow in some parts, with repetitive hyper analysis of skills, abilities, classes, images. Etc. It’s academically interesting, but felt like a slog andi kept wanting to return to more action. Wish author would give a recap chapter as we are deep into the series and there is too much to recall, even just the characters. Many word choice errors -Needs a proof reader. Looking forward to the next book though. Big reveal at the end, still digesting and not sure my feelings on it. Some reveals pull back the curtain on what should remain a mystery till the end.
