As affordable basic (low profile) mic stands, these Pyle stands work well, for a very fair price. The base is compact and heavy enough for proper stability, and the height adjustment works well.
What I really love using these stands for, however, is as more compact light-stands for wand lights (such as these https://amzn.to/3KWLA0p ) around the house. By using the Pyle mic stands instead of the light tripod stands that come with the lights, I can place the lights in tighter spaces, with less to trip over, and it is definitely an upgrade in stability. Depending on which lights you use, do a quick check to make sure the light's mounting area matches the size of the Pyle, but so far, I've had success with a number of light fitting perfectly, and for those that don't, there are always plenty of adapter options.
