    There's another reviewer here who took points off for the item not having speakers. As a parent of young kids... my dude, that is the best part about this drum kit! When my kids are having big feelings and acting out we get them set up with their headphones and the drum kit, and they beat the heck out of these and it holds their attention for a surprisingly long time. I get it, too -- I tried it out and it is a lot of fun. There are only a few "kits" available but the samples sound really good. I am SO THANKFUl that these are headphone only. Seriously, if you have kids that get the zoomies, this is a great tool for the tool box.

    I say for kids, but I can imagine a novice adult enjoying this set too. Just don't expect it to be a good practice rig for an actual drummer.
    But for my grandson, this is great! It's quiet enough when using headphones, but it's possible to hook a speaker up to it. The sticks are sized for small hands. The sounds are realistic enough for what it is, and the pedals give you a bass and cymbal for more realism. There are multiple demos you can play along with. It'll help kids learn rhythm and music structure, which is more than I expected.
    I've seen other reviews knocking this down to 2-3 stars because it doesn't come with a speaker, and only cheap earbuds. While I would wish that it had an internal speaker, do you really think for this price it was going to come with a nice set of studio headphones? Be serious. It comes with cheap earbuds, and you can replace them with anything that'll plug into a 3.5mm jack.
    For what these are, and the price, this is a great set for kids. It's more than a toy, less than an intermediate kit, and loads of fun!

    I'll update once we release this kraken on the family at XMAS!

    My son used to be an avid drummer, but ran out of space and time to play. Hope this cheers him up and he can use this the same was I use the "thrash guitars" I used to get from thrift stores when I was on the road. (good enough to thrash and keep my hand in...never intended to be a 'quality instrument' but still a lot of fun)

    When you first turn it on, all the time, you will need to adjust the volume. All the time you turn it off, you will have to do this. The sticks are for a kid, I just couldn’t figure out why the way I held them just didn’t feel right. You get so much with this. Everything work great on the plug-in side of things. I connect to a speaker because even though you get earphones, volume control in ear is hard because of when you first turn it on it always starts on loud. The sticks come with rubber tips.

    These tips will also fit standard size drumsticks. The foot pedal works pretty good. Comes with instructions. I love the fact that this is portable and I can now have something to play along with my portable piano.

    Drums without speakers? YES, please. These only come with headphones so you can set your little one (or big one) off to "practice" for hours and not have to listen to the noise. Another great feature is the roll-up ease of portability. You can take it anywhere! It includes all the basics for drummers and the pads are very responsive. It's fun! Please note that you can purchase a separate speaker and plug these into it for when "performing" is desired. This is a great choice for the beginner or for someone who just wants to pound away.

    While it's a bit smaller than a traditional drum set, it still provides plenty of fun and doesn’t take up much space. Just make sure to place it on a flat surface to avoid any slipping. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for aspiring drummers and music enthusiasts of all ages.

    This kit is awesome! The sound is excellent, it's easy to use, and compact.

    I plugged it into the wall, and there was a faint whining noise in the headphones, but that noise isn't present when on battery. I haven't yet tried to test if it was just on adapter, or something with that specific adapter.

    You'll want to upgrade the headphones, the ones that come with the kit are pretty lightweight, and to really reach that punchy bass you need bigger drivers.
