About this item
A brand new spicy, high-angst romance from Catharina Maura—the highly anticipated, standalone spin-off of the Windsors series.
When the man she's always been in love with starts dating one of her friends, artist Serenity Adesina creates a to-do list that will help her get over him once and for all.
The first item on that list?
Losing her virginity to Archer Harrison, her older brother's billionaire best friend…and her boss.
He's the perfect choice—alluring, caring, and entirely emotionally unavailable.
Their deal was supposed to be simple: Serenity will paint Archer anything he wants in return for a secret, no-strings-attached relationship.
Except each kiss leaves them both wanting more, tempting them to risk it all for what's growing between them. That is, until a cruel twist of fate shows them that giving in to their feelings comes at a far higher cost than they could've imagined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another masterpiece
One more masterpiece for her long list of amazing books.
I devoured this book in a matter of hours and I want to read it again.
This book is just perfect!
Brother’s best friend, workplace romance, angst, emotional turmoil, a beautiful HEA and
steamy spice.
Archer is just the perfect example of a gentleman with a dirty mouth! He is dreamy, protective, possessive, and overall swooning! Every time he called her “darling “ I giggled and blushed.
Serenity is strong, she has a heart of gold, and always thinking about other's happiness before her own.
She is amazing, you will fall in love with her.
Archer & Serenity's story was beautiful, two broken souls healing from their past, finding love when they least expected. Their chemistry was explosive and they were just perfect.
The spice was spicing! So well written and scorching!
The mouth of this man was dirty and cold shower-worthy.
I am a huge fan of Cat, she is an auto-buy author for me and I can’t wait for the next one. ????????
4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not my favorite CM book
First of all, I want to say that I love Catharina Maura. I fell in love with the Windsor series and have kept reading all of her books as they are released. I was excited to purchase a hard copy of this book as it's the first she has released that way. The first page in every chapter was black; I think that was a mistake. I love the concept; however, the way mine was printed was very blurry and hard to read. I actually ended up paying for it on Kindle so I didn't have to keep reading the hard copy. As far as her books go, while I have loved some more than others, this book missed a few marks for me. Overall, I genuinely loved both Archer and Serenity as characters, so I am still giving it four stars because I wish I had another 300 pages of them to get to know. The plot of this book was underdeveloped in my opinion. It all felt very surface-level and rushed to an extent. There were so many opportunities to push it further and go deeper, which never happened. There was a lot of repetitiveness in the internal monologues of Archer and Sera, which, at times, made it seem like it was just copied and pasted from previous chapters. The fact that Archer and Ezra NEVER had a conversation about the fact that Archer was in love with his best friend's little sister, especially once it was made clear Ezra was on to them, blows my mind. Especially after Serenity left. I know it's typical for romance novels, but I hate when we have to wait until 98% of the book is over for them to resolve their issues because the book then always feels unresolved to me. I also really hate how a lot of authors who write series spend so much time setting up the next book in the series (which is obviously Ezra and Tyra, which is a whole other situation!); I would rather it be subtly hinted at, than losing out on the part of the current character's story. All of this to say, the book is still very enjoyable and as I mentioned, I do love Archer and Serenity. I think that's why some of these things bothered me more than they usually would. There was untapped potential with these two...they were could but could have been spectacular.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rollercoaster of emotions.
Archer has not been himself since the disappearance of a friend. They were suppose to go on a trip together he didn’t go and his friend decided to go by herself and she never returned. He has felt guilty since her disappearance.
When the alarm was going off at Archer’s best friends and neighbors place he went to check it out and found Serenity standing in the hallway in tears. Archer immediately went into protective mode and wanted to know what happened. Serenity wouldn’t tell him but he took care of her. The following morning she created a list to get over Theo and number one on the list was to lose her virginity to Archer. When archer sees her list he can’t stop thinking it. A deal was made to help each other. Serenity will paint anything Archer wanted for a no-string attached relationship.
This book was the typical Catharine book. It is full of emotions and it made me cry before my heart got healed.
3.0 out of 5 stars Love triangle with a spectre
This begins as an age gap, brother's best friend, boss / intern romance. After being disappointed with a potential romantic interest, Serenity decides that she wants Archer to take her V-card. It's supposed to be a temporary arrangement; in exchange for his intimate tutoring, she will create a painting for him. Of course, the relationship develops into something bigger.
There's a ghost haunting their relationship. 3 years previously, Archer's ex, Tyra, disappeared on a trip they were originally supposed to take together. Since her disappearance, he's been haunted by guilt and uncertainty. Is she dead or alive? What happened? With no closure, it's been difficult for Archer to move on.
About 2/3 of the way into the book, Tyra reappears. She's suffered a traumatic experience and needs a lot of help. She's very dependent on Archer. Both Serenity and Archer try to do the right thing and their actions are guided by obligation and responsibility. There's a lot of misery before the HEA.
