    I had never considered using a landing (or launching pad) for my quad (or drone) until I saw this STARTRC pad. The pad folds up neatly and stores easily in the bag it comes with. Besides the pad and bag, you get a charging cable and stakes. The pad charges up by pulling back the hidden rubber cover which keeps moisture away. When its done charging the ring light turns green. You cannot really see the light during the day, but I would think the main point of the light itself is for twilight or night flying, when you are trying to find your landing spot. The pad is rugged and has enough weight that it is not going to blow away when you set it down on the ground.

    The pad itself has 15 light effects. To turn the pad on, you long press the button. To change between the different modes the pad has, short press the button again. To turn the pad off, long press the button while the light is on.

    During the twilight hours I tried it out to see how bright it was. The ring is highly effective at transmitting the light and it is very visible. I included a video so you can see how bright it is. I can see it being fun using this as a landing beacon to find your way home.

    Way too light weight. You might not be able to use stakes if ground is too solid or not solid enough.

    The media could not be loaded.
    It's very well made easy to fold out easy to plug in one button on and off I really like it it's a great addition for night time flying if you don't have one of these it's really hard even though the DJI 4 pro has a light on it it's still nice to have illuminated area when you're landing very cool
