This watch has held up well. I have owned it for well over a year. It gets banged around, submerged in water, dirty and it keeps going.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it

I was waiting for the month so I could give a full ride review but my phone keeps pestering me to leave one. So out of respect to the seller...

The watch came a day early which was awesome. The watch band fits my big wrist nicely and it's honestly nice it doesn't make my wrist sweat like the iwatch did.

However going from the iwatch to this is very different. Yes you can get notifications of calls and messages coming in. But you can only quick reply with the watch. That's a no biggie for me I don't mind. However it's not letting me do anything for calling. Just lets me know when I missed my call. So I'm still figuring it out. And the watch is awesome and comfortable. The seller sent some info on their business and a number to call for troubles with it. But so far I've got none.

The touch on it is nice not to sensitive and I can download alot more faces on it which I love. I bought it originally for my job and switching to Android I wanted something a little more heavy duty than a Samsung smart watch (being that I've broken one easily before along with my iwatch) this watch so far has taken the punches and the battery life is godly. I haven't charged it since I opened the package (full battery) and it's been a week. So far I'm loving it

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value

This smart watch is great for the price point and a great way to get a Garmin. Garmin has strong privacy practices and doesn't sell your personal data so it's worth the extra cost compared to discount models. The watch functions well except for the hydration app, which tends to almost freeze up the watch. I've found if I disable it on the watch and track fluids through the app the problem goes away. It's comfortable, accurate, and almost everything you could want from a basic smartwatch. The preprogrammed workouts are easy to use, the battery life is a respectable 3 days WHEN the pulse Ox feature is always on. Highly recommend for someone who wants a solid smart watch and also cares about data privacy.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best value in a fitness wearable, hands down.

I've been wanting a smart watch for a while now, but didn't want to pay a month's rent for the latest and greatest from Apple- enter the Garmin Venu Sq.

For the renewed price I got it at ($89.99), I am absolutely blown away by the functionality. Extremely accurate step count and heart rate monitor, plus personalized training plans so I can finally achieve my dreams of being able to run a mile without feeling sick afterwards? Incredible.

Plus the Garmin Connect app you pair it with is no joke and becomes your go-to dashboard for all of your health metrics.

Fully customizable, you can configure it in endless ways to maximize your convenience and minimize swipes and taps.

Overall extremely impressed, and if your emphasis is on fitness and health-tracking, Garmin's tech is head of the class. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars This a great watch!

I bought this watch for its ability to track different information about my heart rate, sleep, calories burned, and many other fitness features. It is amazing. It’s very comfortable and easy to use. The batter lasts a while too from a full charge. I can last over a week I believe. I personally may buy a different band for the watch, not that the one it comes with is uncomfortable, but I would enjoy something different. Also, I bought it refurbished. Amazon said it was in excellent condition, and they were right. I’ve had no issues with this watch and I’ve had it for probably 2 months now.

I could not have asked for a more perfect watch for my needs. I wanted something square, with long battery life, aesthetically pleasing with good features, notifications, a fitness app and no subscription fees.

This is all of that and more! It takes time to get to know your menus, gestures and features, but it’s worth every penny.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after 5 Months!
Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2023
We gave the refurbished Garmin Venu Sq a try. It worked well as a birthday gift for my 13 year old who has taken good care of it, until it died after 5 months. It is charged, but it suddenly won’t turn on except for only a second every now and again. (That’s how I now it’s charged.) Amazon only warranties the product for 90 days and Garmin does not warranty refurbished watches. This was an expensive mistake.

3.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy for Dexcom integration
Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2022
There's 3 of us here, fairly technically inclined. After about 6 hours between us trying to get Dexcom to show as a watchface on this we all gave up and I bought a Samsung. This was the cheapest Garmin that was on the list as being Dexcom compatible (on Garmin's site). We need no other features so I cannot speak on anything else about this watch. May be harsh to grade so low over one feature, but I don't think they should be able to advertise as Dexcom compatible if you need to be a scientist to get it set up.
My $20 knockoff can count my steps and push my notifications. I needed Dexcom compatibility. This ain't it.

*Dexcom is a continuous glucose monitor that gives real-time readings to diabetics.

This likely does not apply to 95% of the population. I'm hoping to help other T1D who may have come here because they've heard about Garmin/Dexcom integration. Maybe try a different model... I'll be skipping Garmin completely.
Also, since we couldn't get G6 to work even though they specifically made an app for that, I didn't even bother trying to load the follow app in some round about way. I'll be trying all this with Samsung next ????????
