About this item
A mysterious time capsule, a festive bucket list, and a holiday surprise baked with love—Christmas in Charlotte Oaks just got a whole lot sweeter.
When Colton Hayes and I stumble across a decades-old time capsule hidden in my fireplace—with a “Christmas in Charlotte Oaks” bucket list inside—he insists we team up to tackle it together.
In fact, not only does he want me to join him in a festive scavenger hunt, but he's also determined to track down the time capsule's original owner. And even worse? His biggest goal is to convince me to see Christmas the way he does—full of magic and meaning.
But I've spent years keeping this holiday—and my heart—on lockdown. And yet, the more we check off the list, the harder it is to keep Colton at arm’s length. Especially when he pulls off the cookie surprise of a lifetime.
He says every Christmas wish is a chance for something special... but if I make a wish, am I ready for it to come true?
A White Chocolate Christmas Wish is set in the world of the Love in Charlotte Oaks series, where you'll find families as sweet as the tea, hot veterans who've returned home to find true love, and a beloved pet goat who has the habit of coming in clutch to save the day.

Reader’s Notes:
– this is part of a series, but meant to be read as a stand-alone
– this is connected to Jess Mastorakos’s Love in Charlotte Oaks series (most closely with How I Love You as that’s when we meet Colton & his coworker). You don’t have to read the series to enjoy this story, but it might be a good idea to at least read How I Love You to get to know these two a bit more beforehand as well as what Gertie’s importance in Charlotte Oaks is
– this is told from Hope & Colton’s points of view
-it is mentioned that a character’s grandparent passed a few years ago
Review:
This was really cute! I loved that we got a story for Hope and Colton after reading their friends’ story in How I Love You! I loved the cute holiday activities the two of them did together. ???? I also loved that Hope was willing to try enjoying Christmas again and that Colton didn’t try pushing the list activities on her if she didn’t seem interested in any part.
Summary:
Hope has been keeping her distance from Christmas festivities most of her life. But when she discovers an old time capsule hidden in her fireplace and calls Colton over to help get it out, he decides to bring the Christmas spirit to her. With a list to aid their Christmas plans, Hope isn’t sure if she’ll enjoy the holidays like Colton does but she might enjoying spending time with him…
Colton fell for Hope when he first came to Charlotte Oaks and never stopped hoping for more with her. So when an old Christmas list of holiday activities surfaces in Hope’s home, Colton is glad she called him. Not only will he be able to spend more time with her, but he also might be able to bring joy back to her holiday season…

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, delightful read for a busy holiday season!
A Christmas wish list, a cute interfering goat, lots of Christmas cheer, & a sweet romance made The White Chocolate Christmas Wish a delicious treat! Loved returning to Charlotte Oaks for Colton’s & Hope’s story. This friends to more, mutual attraction romcom was just the ticket for a quick, enjoyable Christmas read.
Hope doesn’t like celebrating Christmas ever since her grandma died. Now that her grandpa has passed away too & she’s left all alone, she really isn’t in the Christmas mood. But, when she discovers a Christmas to do list buried in her grandpa’s fireplace & a handsome private investigator who wants to fulfill all the items on the list, she might just change her mind.
Colton has been in love with Hope since the moment he met her. With the help of Gertie the goat & a little Christmas magic, he might just get his wish for a closer relationship with Hope. But when something unexpected comes up, will he be able to make all Hope’s Christmas wishes come true?
This cute novella was such a joy to read! It was easily devoured in a day. There was quite a bit packed into this darling story & I loved Colton’s & Hope’s sweet romance with all the Christmas feels. Colt’s especially sensitive to Hope’s needs & I loved all the ways he tries to make the holidays enjoyable for her again. Their first kiss was adorable especially under the holly. IYKYK! Loved the gluten intolerance rep that was effortlessly woven in too.
It was so fun seeing familiar characters from the Charlotte Oaks series & I loved reconnecting with them. It’s also part of the Christmas Kisses & Cookie Crumbs series. In both cases, it’s easily read as a standalone. It’s a perfect, delightful read for a busy holiday season! I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided. 4-4.5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Christmas Magic
This is another one of those bite sized nuggets from the Christmas Kisses and Cookie Crumb series. I loved the story in this one.
Hope has not had the heart for Christmas in a while. She is not grinchy. She has lost her holiday spirit. When Hope and Colton find a time capsule in her fireplace with a Christmas in Charlotte Oaks bucket list, Colton is ready to get started immediately. He is gung ho for this scavenger hunt/bucket list. Hope is not so excited, but she grudgingly agrees to work on the list.
This was such a sweet book. Colton's excitement about Christmas is contagious, and Hope finds herself catching a little Christmas spirit along the way. From building gingerbread houses, baking cookies and finding a Christmas tree, the hunt was all about Christmas. I loved the idea of a scavenger hunt/bucket list. The characters were easy to like as well. If you have an hour, maybe a little less, you can read this book and maybe increase your Christmas spirit a little and believe in a little Christmas magic.

These two were too sweet.
Colton & Hope have been dancing around their feelings and desire for each other. Hope finds something in her fireplace and calls Colton over to help her. And what they find takes them on a mini adventure that helps Hope find her Christmas spirit.
There's also a meddling pygmy goat and human friends.
Colton was such a cinnamon roll of a guy! He has Christmas spirit for days and is excited to help Hope be a less "Grinch-y".
Absolutely cute.
Is also connected to another of her series but works as standalone.
