    These little parts are what cause fridge doors to close somewhat automatically. If they are worn, you can try to push the door closed, but it will not close on the first try. These make the door glide around the hinge pin to the lovely conclusion of a fridge stocked with delicious and safe food.

    My Whirlpool side by side fridge door finally closes. After doing some research on why my fridge door wouldn't close or pop back open, I discovered that the door cam was all worn down. After replacing, door closes with slight force or tap and does not pop back open. Fits my 2004 Whirlpool fridge model ED2FHEXNQ00.

    The cams were not slotted correctly. Instead of being made such that the cam drops into position to close the door, it drops into position to have the door straight open!

    This replaced the door cam on our Kenmore refrigerator. It took less than 30 minutes to remove the door, remove the old part and install the new one. I set the door on two chairs to work. You could also set it on a table. It worked fine for the first day. Then the door started clunking when opening or closing. The door would reach the top of the pivot point then drop off, instead of sliding down. (Grease was applied when installed.) I had to take the door off, and use a file to round over the drop points. So far, it works better.

    The door on my 21 year old refrigerator wouldn’t close by itself. The bottom piece was worn out and we always had to make sure the door was closed. After installing this piece, it closes by itself and the seal is tight.

    Great replacement. Came one day after order. Easy to install. Took about 15min to install. The door seals well now!

    Symptoms:
    Door is not aligned with adjacent door.
    The gasket does not have a complete seal.
    The door does not stay closed, even with a firm push.
