    My old vent hood in my old house was ugly to begin with but after I replaced the old range, it stood out even more. My newer range is bright white and this vent looks like it could have come with the range as a set. Looks so much better! I installed it myself. My old range hood was probably 30 or more years old and it was practically frozen in place, so getting it out was the worst part of the install. After that, the rest was easy. I know nothing about wiring so I asked others for advice. It turned out to be very easy. It works great and looks so nice and sleek. I'm really happy I chose this one. First picture is my old stove and vent hood. Second picture is the update.

    This was the most affordable ducted hood fan I could fine that was over 200 CFM.
    I would not call the install "easy" if someone doesn't have some basic handy skills, but it was managable for my skill level and was compatible with my current duct work (most modern fans seem to have 6in instead of 7in ducts). Fan is quieter and more effective than the antique model we had before.

    Needed something to replace my Over the range microwave as it had broken. Did not want to spend the money on another as I was never impressed with its ventilation fan + don't use the microwave much. I needed something that would mount under the cabinet and also would recirculate inside. There isn't any piping installed for outside venting (yet). Chose this Firegas hood model because it checks all the boxes. It filters the smoke and cooking fumes from cooking very well especially since I have it setup for inside recirculation. The LED lights are much brighter than I expected which I love. It comes with different ventilation attachments for various installation types. The activated carbon filter included is a nice bonus. Comes pre-wired for a 110 outlet. 300cfm is enough for my needs. The stainless looks sharp however be mindful to clean fingerprints and grease often. The fan is on the noisier side. Especially on speed 3/the highest mode but you'll never really need it as the suction is more than sufficient for ventilation on speeds 1 and 2. The only complaints I have are that the included instruction manual are a bit vague and the protective film tape was hard to peel off. Take your time and peel it off slowly and you'll be fine. It's been roughly over a month and so far, so good!

    The fan works very well and it is not noisy. It actually pulls out the cooking smell from kitchen. It goes well with my stove. The light is not as bright as my old one but I’m satisfied.

    I like that it came with instructions on how to hang and it was a super simple process to do. We bought it as part of a studio size apartment. Wiring is straight forward and love the led lighting which gives nice lighting. Should be easy to install yourself, but I would definitely still have a second person help. The fan has a vent for indoor in case you don't have an outdoor exhaust. It does have an option for a top vent or wall vent.
