From Amazon #1 Best-Selling Author...

Reeling from a messy divorce at 64 years old, Madeleine's life is plunged into further chaos when her mother dies and she discovers that she was actually adopted. Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, Madeleine sets out to track down her true family.

But when she finally finds them in an affluent Northern California beach town, she is shocked to discover they are the owners of a very successful vineyard. Thrown by this discovery, Madeleine can't bring herself to reveal her identity yet, and decides to stay in town for a while, to work up the courage to present herself. It’s a beautiful place and she finds herself happily settling into life there, accepting a job at the local Bridal Store as a dressmaker. Its just what she needs to help her clear her head and figure out what to do next.

But when she is tasked with designing and creating the wedding dress for Natalie, her real sister’s daughter and therefore her niece, Madeleine feels like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

As she is invited to spend time with the family, she gets closer and closer to Natalie, who confides in her that she doesn’t really want to marry her husband... Madeleine unwillingly becomes the confidante to everyone in the family. And as time passes it becomes increasingly difficult for her to reveal her true identity.

Afraid of severing the connections she is forging with her family, Madeline continues her cover. Then there’s Jack — the handsome and mysterious man whose deep connection to the Fitzgeralds only makes her growing feelings for him even more confusing.

And when another, even darker family secret comes crashing down on them all, Madeleine must decide what her role is in this complicated family legacy. How long can she keep pretending? With Christmas approaching and the wedding drawing near, Madeleine must choose between protecting her heart or risking everything for the truth—and the family she’s always dreamed of having.

Get caught up in a dramatic family saga this summer and join Madeleine as she navigates her personal challenges to the backdrop of sun, sea, and crisp California wine.

I really enjoyed this great introduction to this new series. The writing was captivating. The characters were believable and I cared about them. The plot had dealt with a divorce, death of a loved one and a secret. I couldn't put the book down. I'm looking forward to reading the next book of this series.

What an awesome start to a new series by this Author, Sage Parker.
Newly divorced Madelaine (Maddie) Claire is faced with the death of her Mother and the secrets surrounding her own birth. The ex-husband Harold is a user and a loser as we rapidly discover and is definitely not thought very highly of by Maddie’s best friend Di. Di decides to help Maddie try to search for her birth family, which results in them flying to San Francisco for a few days, which actually turns into a longer time. And the search begins !.

I loved this book. It was great from page one. Being in my 60's myself, it was awesome to read about another woman going through a hard time in life. There was so much challenge for the MC that you can not wait to see how it plays out. I highly recommend this book to all readers.

The Family Vineyard (Book 1) is in the Cali Reunion series by Sage Parker.

Madeleine's life is messy with her divorce, her mother’s death, and surprise info about herself. I was a little frustrated wupith her at the beginning, but fortunately she found her backbone and quit being a doormat to be walk on. Her friend Di may be a bit much at times, but she is good for Madeleine. I can’t wait for the next book!

Sage Parker has started another brilliant series that has me totally engaged and entertained from the get go. Maddy is dealing with divorce and death of her mother with the unyielding support of her best friend Di. As the story starts to unfold, I feel sadness, empathy and joy for the steps Maddy is taking to deal with her challenges. I can't wait to read Book 2.

The Family Vineyard book 1 was a good introduction to the series. The divorce, death of loved one, etc., sets the stage for what comes next for the main character, Maggie. It will be interesting to see how Maggie can turn her life around to enjoy it again.
