I use these batteries pretty much everywhere I used to use alkaline batteries. i.e. remote controls, keyboard, mouse, and even a powered kitchen garbage can (opens and closes the lid). The highest drain device is the garbage can. Regular alkalines last about 9-10 days. When the garbage can was newer, batteries would last about 2-3 weeks (yeah, I know, right?). I like the can, but even using bargain (cough, Amazon) AA's it is starting to become not only costly, but I put an orange bag of recycled alkalines out every few months.
After about 4 charge cycles I am pleased that, while not as power dense as a good alkaline cell, these batteries go 7 days. Unlike the slow and painful death of alkaline batteries these cells just shut down. There is a little BMS (Battery Management System) integrated into each battery, so I imagine rather than ruining the cell at undervoltage limits, these just shut off. But the best thing is that rather than throwing the cells in a recycling bag they go on a slow charger to live another day. Theoretically, if not actually, slow charging gives the battery a longer life cycle wise. Doing the math puts these little beauties head and antlers ahead of just about any current small form (AA and AAA) cell. As a final note there is a blue LED (on the BMS) that blinks when its charging. All 12 of the Kratax cells work fine, and very consistently, so far.
