5.0 out of 5 stars Soft yarn

This a very soft yarn that’s easy to work with. The look of the yarn is beautiful. I’ve been searching for soft yarns to work with because I’m tired of making sweaters with stiff, low quality yarn. This yarn is a good alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love this Yarn

This yarn is a cotton plus bamboo. It is easy to work with, however, it is a bit splitty. It is much softer than most "cotton" yarns. I am making a cardigan out of it with a 4.5mm needle. I am also making tea cups out of it using a 2.5mm needle. Surprising, it is not difficult to use the small needle with this yarn and the tea cups are coming out with a nice firm form and a nice sheen.

They are slightly smaller than I thought they'd be, but I didn't have any solid plans for them yet so it's fine. They're so pretty, and the right thickness. Haven't tried them yet but it's a good brand so I don't foresee any issues.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very pretty yarn

This yarn is very soft, and very pretty. It worked up great into baby bibs and washcloths I made. It does split quite easily but still worth the money if you’re looking for something to use to make baby items I would recommend this yarn!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hook size makes a huge difference
Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2024
I found that for me a size 4 millimeter crochet hook allowed for near no split progress. Here and there the yarn would split but not to any extremes. I'm making a tubular head wrap with this because the one I made with acrylic yarn feels scratchy on my skin. Hoping this bamboo cotton blend will be soft and comfortable.

Cotton and bamboo blend, which is great if you are allergic to wool and synthetic fibers

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea

I am of intermediate skill and have worked with some pretty darn awful yarns. I'd say this yarn is a love it or hate it kind of thing. The color is nice, the yarn is shiny, moderately priced and it feels durable. (Also easy care)
Unfortunately, some such as myself will find it undesirable to work with. I think this is an S on S twist, but the twist is not very tight so its more like working with a plied yarn where it is like thin threads simply held together. This can be a big issue if you want to work quickly or use a slippery hook or needle such as aluminium. This is also more like a sport weight to me, I got the best result using a size E hook. I tried using a 7 and it looked ridiculous, and the G just didn't look right. If this had been a luxury yarn I might have worked through the occasional splits and uneven tension, but I feel this would've been too much of a bother for me. I think I will make something small like a hair scarf instead of the lacy top I had planned and donate any leftover yarn to the local elementary school for crafts. Please don't let my opinion deter you from trying out this yarn as it is not awful. It just depends on what you want to make and what you will and will not put up with.
