It was nice & plush. The first time I washed it, it wouldn't lay flat on the floor. I have the smaller one & have washed it many times with no problem. Not this one. Of course, it's past the return period so I'm out my money. Would not recommend these rugs in a larger size of 3x5. I'm sad because I really like the rug.

Cons: May be too slippery for some
I purchased this rug for my bedroom makeover, which is still a work in progress, to help detract from the ugly carpet. Since I rent, I can't replace the carpet so I figured this would be the next best thing. I wanted something opposite of the carpet, so I decided on a nice plush shag rug. Gotta say, I'm very happy with what I received.
The rug itself feels high quality; it has a good amount of thickness to it and the edges are sewed nicely. I read some reviews on other shag rugs where they ended up being thin pieces of material with no edging, like what you'd get if you just ordered the material wholesale. This rug is not like those, thankfully; it's actually constructed properly. The bottom material has a sort of non-slip property to it, so I imagine it'd work well on hardwood or tile floors but I haven't tested that. The top shag part is very, very soft and silky. For what I need, that's perfect, but you can definitely slip on it when wearing socks if you're not careful. That's honestly the only potential downside I've found to the rug but I didn't feel it warranted removing a star since it works well for me. I haven't tried to clean it, yet, so not sure if it's easy or difficult to clean. The color is very nice; a neutral gray with a tiny bit of shimmer to it, which makes it the perfect accent for what I plan to do with the bedroom.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The rug is great quality, looks nice, feels amazing under bare feet, and will make a great accent to my bedroom once I finish it. 10/10, would recommend.
