I basically received a brand new MKH four 1625 less than they are new and at 90% of what a used one in excellent condition cost…

Trying to decide if you should get this versus a brand new one? It’s a no-brainer get the refurbished, this store takes good care of their customers.

I will update this review if there are issues with performance and be assured, I am very familiar with the 416. It is a tough durable, incredibly quiet, benchmark for shotgun microphones in the industry used on every single movie and television set as well as one of the best voiceover Mike , you can use, especially in less than perfect studio conditions

Beautiful sounding mic, no issues with audio quality or scuffs. Really can’t think of any problems. Mic works wonders, paperwork and accessories came in good condition. I’d probably just say to get a separate shock mount, the mount that comes with these is functional at best but doesn’t help with vibrations/bumping. Check rhode for some of their shotgun mic accessories.

This is an industry standard for a reason. It has a bit of a polarized reputation, but in my experience, this has been a perfect fit for my voice and less-than-perfect recording environment. I rarely do much to EQ this microphone in post production and often just do some light compression to make my voice-over recordings sparkle.
