The unit is a lot faster than my old receipt scanner. The accounting software does a good job of grabbing the receipt details but you occasionally have to edit it. Document organization is very flexible, making it easy to retrieve images. I use this at work and have scanned thousands of documents. Following the recommended maintenance, haven’t had any issues.

I just plugged this in and went to work! It does double sided, the pdf are searchable and it's quick! I will always have one of these on my desk. Way useful!

Very good scanner, very versatile, multiple sizes, very fast. Compact design with small foot print. I have used other receipt / invoice software over the years this is as good as the others I have used. Happy with purchase.

First the good: this scanner is a work horse. It powers through a stack of documents in no time creating great images. The software allows for tweaking and configuration to get you exactly what you're looking for. I scan postcards, and had to make a one-time adjustment for brightness, color gravity, setting up a border around the doc, and not skipping blank backs. The images are true-to-life and work great for my purposes. Now the not so great: This scanner needs to plug DIRECTLY into a USB port on your laptop. Adapters/dongles don't work. So if you have a new Mac that doesn't have a USB port, you're out of luck. For me, that meant I couldn't use my primary laptop and had to dust off an older model (thank the gods I still had it) to get the scanner to work. My scanner had been obviously opened/repackaged and didn't come with any documentation. Took me a few hours of googling to realize that I needed to download and install software from epson.com to get it to work. Not a huge deal, but not a great buying experience either.

After you install this device and the software it tells you just hit the scan button and it will scan and then bring everything up on your PC. And the first time you do it you are disappointed because it seems to scan, and then nothing happens....for about 10 seconds. Then everything pops up! So be patient. This folds up dust tight on the desk top but can deployed in about 3 seconds, including the paper tray, so you don't have to live with a big footprint. Very good software interface for deployment of scans.

Using a printer for scanning in a business setting just doesn't cut it. I bought this scanner to try out for my business. This is one of my favorite purchases for my business. You can scan dozens of pages at at time and then the Epson app opens for you to choose where to save your documents.

This review asked about the tech support. I haven't had any issues, hence I haven't had to use tech support.

I had bought a Raven scanner to use at home because of the cost of the Epson and I don't use it as much at home. That being said.. Raven went out of business within 6 month of my purchase. Don't buy Raven.

I have now purchased 3 additional Epson scanners (same model) for my business. I highly recommend if you do a lot of scanning. The images are clear and in the end, it's worth the investment.

This thing is great. It is head and shoulders above my all in one HP machine. This Epson can scan 50 pages a minute - even pages that are crumpled or torn. The HP unit would chew those up in a hurry. I wish I had bought this Epson stand alone scanner a long time ago. I have 3 years worth of company invoices i have to scan to my accountant and this unit makes it MUCH MORE palatable. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Had bunch of documents to scan and the 20 year old Fujitsu scanners had their rollers melt from inside, ugh. Decided to purchase Epson instead and it works like a charm. Pricing was around $250 and for that amount, this is a steal.

Not sure why features to rate includes tech support and touch screen, which both does not come with. Well, I guess you could call in to get support, but is simple setup and use out of box.
