Easy installation, great function and pretty, too!

Nice product. You can get these at Home Depot & Lowe’s but for over twice the cost. Installation was straightforward, but the instructions are a little oversimplified. The sheet metal is a little thin, but it’s very resiliant to bends & dents & cleans up easily-no unnecessary ledges or grooves. Burners work really well. Another great product from Frigidaire.

Beautiful cooktop
Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2022
I got this Frigidaire cooktop to replace the Whirlpool 4-burner installed by our builder over 19 years ago. The old one was a black glasstop unit, and frankly I was tired of it and wanted a 5-burner. I shopped all over and found everyone was out of stock and backordered, so I was surprised to find it iton Amazon! Not only that, but it was significantly cheaper than at the big box stores and appliance stores in my area, so it was a win-win.
I chose to install it myself. Installation involves only two connections, gas and electricity, and the electrical connection in most cases is just a standard 120v plug. the gas will involve some wrenches of the right sizes, and may entail some fittings to complete the connection. Most gas connections these days are pretty standard, so you should be able to use the ones on the old unit you're replacing. Just be sure to use pipe dope or similar sealant on the gas connections, and test them thoroughly with soapy water after hook-up.
Performance is excellent, and the BTU output of the burners is better than the old one, so I'm happy. The grates are heavy-duty and continuous across the top of the cooktop, making it easy to move pots and pans around with no snags. Nice.
The only negative I have is that the burner control knobs are plastic and are shiny like chrome, while the rest of the cooktop is a brushed stainless finish. but I will say that more expensive big-name units I looked at also use similar shiny knobs.
I like my new cooktop, and will be replacing my oven and microwave shortly with use matching Frigidaire products. 5 stars.

Outstanding Product

This gas cooktop is exactly what I was hoping for. No issues at all. Works very well. Each burner lights quickly, every time. The factory preset minimum flame setting is perfect on each burner. Using this unit on natural gas regulated to 5” w.c. at the meter so did not need the supplied regulator. The control knobs are all metal, are attractive and have a high-quality ‘feel’ to them. Very satisfied with the purchase, the fair price and the fast delivery.

Love it!!!

My dad and I have been looking at stoves and I just by happenstance looked at reviews and this gas stove. It was a great price and after using it for a few weeks, I love it! It's easy to clean, it's stylish, and it was easy to install. My only wish is that it would've come in black stainless steel.

Worthy replacement; great value...4 1/2 Stars!

Bearing in mind I am replacing a 40+ year old GE 4-burner cooktop, that outlived it's usefulness 15 years ago, this new Frigidaire 5-burner is tremendous. First off, the price was nearly half of most other 30" 5-burner units cost, so I was a bit tentative, and checked it over many times before I even attempted to take the old one out of the countertop. (Yes, I'm an avid D-I-Yer....neither electrical nor gas lines scare me.) But, in the box everything checked out. So, in it goes. My biggest issue, as other reviewers have commented, was getting the old cooktop disconnected and out of the hole. Took some time and effort, but out it came, cleaned everything up, had to trim the countertop hole by 1/2", but it otherwise fit perfectly.
The gas connection needed a step down connector ($3 at the local hardware store), but I was even able to use the existing gas regulator. Easy-peasy.
So, once it's all installed, time to try it out. The iron grates are quite beefy, but, again as others have commented, I can see how they could break if knocked or dropped too hard. Also, I wasn't pleased by the rough finish on the top side (where the pot hits the grate). They can easily scratch the bottom of any cookware. So, out comes my palm sander with fine grit sandpaper. In ten minutes of carefully sanding just the top surfaces, I now have smooth-as-silk grates. Again, an easy fix. (Even seasoned them with some avocado oil to "blacken" them up a bit."
For the actual burners, they put out tons of heat. WAY more than I ever got out of the old GE. Water boils nearly twice as fast. But, for my cooking needs, the best aspect of the burners: they go very low, without any fear of blowing out. When simmering sauces, the last thing you want is a burner that can't go low enough, and burns the bottom of the pot/pan. This cooktop fits the bill.
Now, other than the rough grates, my last issue is the quality of the stainless steel surface under the grates. It is definitely NOT 316 stainless steel. The scrubby side of a kitchen sponge will scratch it. So, paper towels or a soft sponge is the best you can use to clean up spills. And, even then I would use caution.
But, all in all, it's a worthy purchase (most especially for the price) that probably should have been made years ago. Nearly five stars, but a slight demerit for rough grates and cheaper stainless steel.
I will update this review if my opinion changes with use.

Its great value for the money (30 inch)
Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2020
It is almost half the price of several others, but not half the quality. The construction materials are thin, so you have to be careful during install, but it appears solid once installed and supported by the granite. The knobs aren't too close to the pots, but the 30 inch gets crowded when we have 3 pots/skillets going (infrequent). The burners seem well designed and are the sturdiest feature. There is plenty of heat thats reaches the pots effectively. I highly recommend if you are looking for value.
A couple issues that you have to live with. The grates have a couple weak points. The first one i ordered came in with a broken grate, in the corner, like reviewer pictures. I returned the entire stove for an immediate credit. I shopped and shopped, again, and still ordered the same model again. So, we're just gonna be careful with these grates. Cheesy little rubber feet under those corners that i will have to replace with felt when they come off. And there are a couple burn stains forming near the burners, but i only see then when i am cleaning. Again, thin materials, and i bet its the same on all of them.
