 To be honest, I have never used a candle/mug warmer so I have nothing to compare it to- BUT, this does exactly what it needs to do!
I had several candles that I couldn’t finish since the wick got too small, so I bought these so I can finish all the half used candles I have! Works great! If you see in the pic, it completely melts the entire candle :) it’s easy to use, you just turn on the switch & turn it off when you’re done. I will say, I do not recommend placing this on like wood long term, as the bottom of the candle warmer does get a little hot. I had it on my dresser originally, till I realized my dresser was getting hot as well if I had the warmer on too long! or maybe just place it on a porcelain plate or something if you do that :) other than that, I def recommend this!

Works quite well to keep coffee or food at a good temperature. The off/on switch seems a little flimsy, but so far no problem.

I love this and use it every day. I have a favorite Voluspa candle that I have used since I received this and it is still going strong. The appearance is plain, but that doesn't matter to me, it is tucked away. The cord is long and I love the light that let's me know it is on.

I use this as a candle warmer. Since I started using this warmer candles last for months. Try it. Candles are expensive use this to save some money.

This warmer is amazing for scented candles. I have a bunch of used candles that I would normally throw out because the wick is so low, but this warmer can make that last half inch or so of wax last a really long time.

It melts all of the wax in the candle starting from the bottom, so the wicks float around in the liquid wax and usually detach from the base of the candle. I just remove the wicks at that point and commit to using the candle on the warmer, but it's worth noting that if you use a candle on this warmer, it's likely that you won't be able to light it normally afterward due to the displaced wicks.

The diameter of the warmer is an exact fit for Bath and Body Works three wick candles and it doesn't take too long to melt them.

The only feature I wish it had is an automatic shut off or timer. I am iffy on whether it would be safe to leave it on while I sleep because the surface that it's sitting on does heat up quite a bit, so use with caution and check on the surface under the warmer every couple hours to make sure everything is okay.

I think this could work to warm coffee but it doesn't get hot enough to use on a candle in a jar. As I found in other reviews for similar products, it only melts the bottom layer of the candle of in a jar that isn't very tiny , and as a result , the aroma gets trapped in the jar and you don't smell anything. So basically you will burn out your candle and never smell it. I anticipated this but decided to give it a try so that my daughter who has become fond of candles can finally burn them since I don't let her use lighters or any type of fire. I ended up deciding to just buy a regular electric wax melt warmer and explained to my daughter that she would have to carve out small chunks of her candle with a spoon then apply it to the warmer. This solution worked better. We found one in the store that was stylish and matched her room decor for less than $10 and also it has a safer design.
