I have been looking for the perfect coffee mug for a long, long time. At Christmas, I was hopeful when I bought the Permula 16 ounce coffee mugs from QVC, but that was a major disappointment. Its 16 ounces was filled to the brim with no room to put the lid on. And they didn’t keep my coffee as hot as advertised. The final straw was when the color started peeling off.
I think I read reviews on most of the coffee mugs with lids and handles here on Amazon before settling on Iron Flask. I’m so glad I did. I chose the 16 ounce so it would work with my Keurig K-Cafe (you do have to remove the cup holder). I make my coffee extra hot, and so far, it stays hot about four hours. I made a cup and just sipped it over that time frame to see how the mug did. It’s easy to clean by hand. I just use Dawn Power Wash spray and hot water and it only takes about two minutes to clean it. The lid can go in the dishwasher. The handle is really comfortable, and it’s a nicely balanced mug. This is the first mug I’ve found with an insulated lid, and it’s also spill-proof. It has an awesome built-in rubber coaster on the bottom that protects any surface you put it on.
I got the black marquina color which is a rich, beautiful, black and white marble color. I highly recommend.

I love my IronFlask cups. I have three all together. I needed a leak proof cup for my hot drinks to keep my toddler and i from being burned and/or spilling.

Keeps liquids hot or cold for hour with the cover on and even with it vented. I love it. No more drinking cold coffee or warm water. I love these. I've bought four of them now. Two for home and two for camp.

A bit disappointed with the weight of the materials. The mugs are slightly flimsy feeling. They do not have the weight of a Yeti but seem to still be pretty insulated keeping the heat in. Some people find a Yeti too heavy though, so the lighter weight may be good for you. One deal breaker for me is that it can not be washed in the dishwasher. I bought 2. One smaller size and one medium size. The smaller size (12 oz) barely fits one mug of coffee with creamer - so what's the point in taking such a small about of coffee to go? It's not as big as I had hoped. The medium size (16 oz) is better for fitting a decent amount. Overall, the mug is ok for the price, has nice choices of colors and has a handle.
