5.0 out of 5 stars Good Value but Glass Chips Easily

This French press was inexpensive, easy to use, filtered well, and looks nice, but I have to replace after just a couple of weeks of use due to the glass chipping around the rim. I think a stainless steel French press will be much more durable and a better choice for me.

UPDATE: The seller was incredibly proactive and offered a replacement French press with a stainless steel interior and insulation for keeping the coffee hot longer. I'm so happy with this new one! It works great, still looks nice, and should last me a long time!

I love this! Aesthetically pleasing, makes great coffee and it’s dishwasher safe. It’s also light weight and is a great choice for someone who wants to make max a few cups of coffee without the price or bulk of a traditional coffee maker. I have no complaints at all.

Love it. Very easy to use & clean. I'm using up all my tea bag tea & enjoying the flavor without the plastics. SERIOUSLY, a huge difference! I'll get loose leaf soon. It's made well & works like it should. I wish it didn't have a plastic bottom base but metal instead so I could put it on a mug warmer plate. It's great for 1 mug or 2 if serving right away.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Budget French Press
Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2024
Really deserves 4.5 stars except that one minor, but important issue is that the glass beaker cannot be easily removed from the handle frame. A lot of French presses have this so that the beaker can be cleaned more easily and it's a minor but important thing for keeping your press clean after each use (water/coffee that drips down the side will get stuck in the metal frame on the outside and leave marks beneath/around the handle). The plunger filter also felt somewhat loose/flimsy but it wasn't a big deal since you can tighten it. If you compare this minor hassle to the cost of Starbucks or a Keurig, on top of getting better coffee from the press, then it's worth the cost. Just remember it's not the sturdiest kitchen tool and not to chip the glass when you clean the beaker.

I love this coffee press, it is so pretty and works great. The way it’s made is so much better than others I’ve had and the cost is so affordable. But for yourself or as a gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Used to froth milk.

After replacing two Zulay milk frothers in one year, life time warranty or not, I decided I’m not down with that disposable life. Upon scouring Reddit for quality long lasting milk frothers for home, and willing to spend around $100 for something decent, I came across many barista who used a French press. To froth milk!
Watch some videos, it’s pretty simple, and while it’s more to clean than the handheld frothers, it also makes a much better, silky, fine froth that, if I knew how, would lend itself well to latte art.
Plus it doubles as a very inefficient coffee maker. Lol seriously, you have to use so much more coffee grounds in a French press compared to any other method. So while French press coffee isn’t my thing, this French press does what I bought it for very well, and it looks very nice. The brushed copper finish hasn’t scratched yet, and seems somewhat durable. Although I don’t think I’d subject it to abrasive scrubbing or a dishwasher since it’s clearly a paint or plastic coating, but it seems to be a relatively durable one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replacing my Aeropress. Love this!

I've always been intrigued by French Presses. This one had great ratings on tons of reviews, at a decent price, so I gave it a go.

Super easy to use. No filter papers to worry about running out of. Heat up your water to 190-205 ish. Pour grinds in. Mix a bit. Let steep 3-4 minutes. I give it another mix. Then put the press cap on and press. Nice and smooth. The filter apparatus pushes the coffee to the bottom, the go juice flows up through the filter dealie, then pour yourself some Breaking Bad "tight tight tight" worthy cofeve.

Given the coffee I already had ground was very fine, I got a very fine layer of sediment at the bottom of my cup. Nothing at all grainy I could detect, just a fine silt at the bottom of my cup. This was MY fault. The instructions very clearly point out to use a coarse grind. I wanted to use it immediately upon delivery and just what I coffee I already had ready to go.

I loved it. Daughter loved it. So easy to use, will definitely be retiring my Aeropress.

If I have any regrets at all, it's going with the 21 ouncer rather than the 34 ouncer. The 21 ouncer version made two nice cups. Perfect for me, but I like BIG cup of coffee. Daughter does too when she visits, so the 21 oz version was a tiny bit short for our two "regular" servings. I'd almost recommend the 34 ouncer for everyone (was a $1 cheaper when I purchased, but still went with 21oz, because I rarely have company). If ya get the 34 oz size, ya can make 3-4 servings in one go. If ya need less, make less, it all works the same.

I really wanna make up another batch, but I'd be running around like Cornholio if I drank more today.

Is a Keurig, quicker and easier? Yes. But if you are you are a coffee fiend, this is the way to go. You control your grind, water temp, and strength. If ya travel, ya can stick this joker in your suitcase.

Big fan here. 5 stars all around.

I hope this review helps with your French Press purchase decision making.

Be well. Take care. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT DEAL for such a GREAT PRODUCT

After realizing how unsanitary our coffee maker was we decided to purchase this french press. First, I would like to say that this is so easy to take everything apart and get clean. Next, the coffee tastes so much richer and robust. It is by far one of my favorite purchases. I was skeptical when I saw it was one of the lower priced French press. It does take a few more steps to make the coffee now instead of popping a pod in and pressing a button. However, I can definitely say it is Worth it.
