The installation instructions are good and easy to follow. Mounted on top of the trailer kit, it charges the deep cycle battery and performs as expected. The whole is very stable and does not move even in high winds.

Small size for 20W for 1.6 A output at 12V, perfect for my 60 AH boat battery maintenance. Quality appears good. Comes with all connections you need. I used the battery clips to make sure it worked first to top off then maintain battery then I installed the ring clips. I added a fuse for remote chance of a shorted solar panel causing a catastrophic battery failure.

Output power on this is 18 volts. This can damage a 12 volt battery. I returned it for a 12 volt output model and that one works great

At first I really liked the panel, I have a Bluetooth adapter that reads battery voltage and I could see the charge go up if I sat there for a few seconds. I was checking voltage regularly (every 2 or 3 days) to make sure it was keeping my battery at the properly charged, which it was. So when I finally decided to trust this and not be checking it so often, it stops working. Now I have a dead battery and will have to pay to have it replaced. Not happy.

Updated Review:
Let me start by saying that the reason my battery drained was not this solar panel's fault. Turns out the Hands-Free Link module in my car had gone bad and was draining the battery even when the car was off. Once that was found to be the issue, thanks to a friend that has the same car I do and coincidentally started having the same battery drain issue too, he told me what was causing and how to get to it to unplug it to test if my HFL module was draining the battery. After the HFL module was unplugged I then though to take this solar panel out from storage and check, I had not used it since I labeled it as "bad" but never got to throw it away since I thought it did put out some power just not enough for my car. Well now I can say that my car can sit indefinitely, the battery will not die anymore and has not gone bellow 12.3 volts even after 3 weeks of the car not being used.

One set to my dad‘s van since he doesn’t drive very much and it’s just to keep the battery trickle charged. I put one in my truck since I also haven’t been driving my truck lately to keep my battery charging slowly and trickled. However, out here in the Vegas heat, the solar panel has been melting. Literally the suction cups are melting. The backing on the solar panel has been melting. I ended up having to take a knife and trim around the panel to fix the edges. Unfortunately, I had to scrap using this because this Vegas heat is so brutal. At 113 to 118° it was melting faster than it did on days when it was just 105. Very poor quality cheap Chinese knock off Should’ve known better. It does, however, trickle charge the battery like it should but the biggest concern that I have is the fact that it is melting.

These things are great for keeping the toys topped off. However in my case the first one I bought in October of 2023 has started to deteriorate. Here we are on June 17th 2024, so 8 months later in the Tampa, Florida sun the clearcoat coating on the top of the panel has started to deteriorate. I'll likely just remove this with some glass etchant and spray some new clear on it.
Thing still works fine, I have two others that are newer and will see how those hold up.
So three stars, absolutely functional, but is gonna need some maintenance to keep functioning well in a relatively short term.

I bought this to charge two 12V marine batteries located down near our small lake where there is no elecric power. I just switch the clamps to the other battery every few days. It does a good job and I recommend it.
