While they did smell a little like oil, it wasn't off putting. They are thick and good quality, with a nice strong velcro. The opening is perfect to put sand in and these are easy to use.

Bags seem to be decent quality but the Velcro straps are really short. Got this for a grill gazebo which doesn't have large legs. Legs are maybe 1.5" on each side so maybe 6" total circumference. Straps barely attach to each other, overlapping maybe 1/4". Not really enough to hold it snuggly in wind. I made my own straps and wrapped around the whole bag. These might work ok on pop up canopies with really narrow legs.
