4.0 out of 5 stars Fairly effective for daily carpet dirt
Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2024
Definitely won't get stains out, but it reasonably effective for daily dirt - it does a little better than water alone, but it is advisable to go over the shampooed area with water-only to make sure the soap residue is removed. Does a good job on recent pet stains, not as well on older stains, but it is effective on odor removal, whether old or new. Carpet smells fresh for many days after using this product.

I’ve used Nature’s Miracle for spot cleaning for over 20 years. Once upon a time, I looked for Nature’s Miracle that I could use in my rug cleaner. It wasn’t at the time, and I probably should have checked again before last week, because it seems it’s been around for ages.

Anyway, I hated the manufacturers’ formulas. They all stink, IMO, and I always felt like they just made the water dirty and moved it around. This was sort of confirmed when I used an extra carpet tile from one relatively new rug in a new rug (the pattern and color were supposed to be the same). The tile from the older rug had a brown/yellow tinge to it. I just broke out my carpet cleaner with my new bottle of this Nature’s Miracle, and with barely any effort at all, that one tile now matches all the other tiles in that rug, and I will forever regret not taking a before picture. I really wasn’t expecting it to work THAT well. I have a whole bin of different bottles of cleaners from the manufacturer and they’re all going to the dump now.

My normally very well behaved cat suddenly decided that he would start peeing in my basement. WTF!$#%&!!!

No worries, he's healthy had him checked by the vet and there is no obvious cause for the TEMPORARY bad behavior. Good God, please let it be temporary!!

Well, I had no idea exactly where the odor was coming from... I went through the basement many, many times trying to pinpoint where the odor was coming from with no luck. My hope was to spot treat but that wasn't possible given that I couldn't determine exactly where the odor was coming from. I turned to amazon for some help. After reading many, many reviews I decided to give this product a try. I love their enzyme spot treaters for the occasional accident in the house and was happy to stick with this company as I've had very good results with their products in the past. I have a hoover carpet cleaner (shampooer). The instructions for the cleaner say 2 ounces of cleaner mixed with the water in the dispenser. The first time I cleaned the carpet I went with the 2 ounces. I thoroughly cleaned the carpet and left it to dry. The smell was absolutely HORRENDOUS (way worse than prior to applying the solution) as the carpet dried. The enzymes were hard at work breaking up all the rank cat urine that permeated every inch of my basement but I was not aware of this process just yet. As the carpet dried the smell persisted, it was absolutely awful!! After approx 24 hours of drying time I ventured back down into my basement. HOLY MARY, MOTHER OF GOD..... the stench! I gagged, nearly threw up in my mouth and promptly reloaded the carpet cleaner with a higher concentration of solution, this time 4 ounces added to the water in the dispenser. I, again, thoroughly "shampooed" the carpets and left the enzymes to do their work. Again, it stunk to high heaven for a good 24 hours as the enzymes worked their magic and the carpet dried. After the second shampooing and 24 hours of drying the smell was slightly, and I do mean slightly, better. Take 3..... I braved the stinky basement yet again and loaded the carpet cleaner with 6 ounces of solution (3x the amount recommended by Hoover). I cleaned the hell out of the carpet, hitting all areas twice praying to the Gods that this would work. 24 hours later... still stinks! 36 hours later... still stinks, who the hell am I going to call to get this stink out of my basement?? It's nauseating!! 48 hours later... I think it might be getting better but I can't be sure maybe i'm just getting used to it :(. Hey friends, will you come over and let me know if my house smells terrible?? LOL. I left my house for the weekend, came home another 48 hours later and smelled nothing as I walked through the front door (yeah, it was THAT bad). Cautiously optimistic I venture down the basement steps.... the smell is GONE. Not a single trace of odor!!. The gag-worthy cat urine smell has left the building!!! Here I am a week later and the stink remains banished from my basement!!

Moral of the story: IT TAKES TIME, A LOT OF TIME, TO WORK!! Those little enzymes continue working long after applied. The smell may get WAY WORSE before it gets better!!

Thank you Nature's Miracle for yet another great product for the pet lover's of the world!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Stains....Some Drawbacks.

I have used this product for many years when shampooing my carpet mainly because their Nature's Miracle spot treatment seems to do such a good job in getting rid of stains so I wanted to stay with the same product line. It does a good job in cleaning but I have noticed, like several others have reported, that it does tend to leave a sticky residue. I am one that always goes over the carpets with a plain water rinse after using the shampoo as I realize that soap residue is what tends to cause carpets to attract dirt faster. But rinsing on many occasions hasn't gotten rid of stickiness feel for days when still damp after treating the carpet. Although I like the product line in general, I may go with the Hoover brand next go around and check out the difference.

I have also noticed a smell to the carpet after cleaning that some have mentioned. The solution itself smells fine but when mixed in with wet carpet (that usually has pet urine in it), it is does smell pretty rank. It does seem to go away after the carpet completely dries (or I've gotten used to the smell! Not sure!) I have on occasion sprayed Fabreze over the carpet when it smelled, and that seemed to also take care of the smell. Overall, it is a good cleaner for stains, I feel, but there are some drawbacks.

I cleaned and cleaned my carpeting with pet shampoo. We have a puppy. By the way, I could still get a whiff of urine. I bought this stuff cleaned at once and there's no more smell, it is gone.

I have used Nature's Miracle products for years. I just got a new puppy and thought I would try natures miracle carpet shampooers. This scent is clean and fresh. It worked very well in my new shampooer without excessive foaming and worked great on stains. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about natures miracle products.
