- Kindle CustomerGreat coverI got a new Kindle as a gift and needed a protective cover. My Kindle fits into it well and the stand feature is very functional. I have dropped it several times with no cracks. I absolutely love it and the cover color is pretty. After several months of use it still looks and performs like new. Highly recommend.
- Kindle CustomerExpensive for what it is... But worth it (to me)...Good quality and durable. I think it's expensive for what it is, but it does make the tablet easier to hold (more secure, less slippery) and enhances the functionality (on/off by opening/closing the magnetic cover, and by folding the cover back it acts as a book stand horizontally OR vertically), and it adds a bit of protection - covering the screen when not in use. So, for me, it's money well spent and I would recommend it to others.
COMPARING THE COVERS: I purchased the less expensive soft leather-like cover that's NOT magnetized for one of my Kindle's. It's OKAY and SERVES ITS PURPOSE as a protective cover very nicely. What I don't care for: It only has a horizontal book stand so it doesn't work vertically - it's great for most games (if that's what you'll use it for), but NOT for hands-free reading if you prefer reading a book in the vertical position (like a hard cover book). It doesn't have the magnetic closure On/Off feature which I found I REALLY prefer having. If you use your Kindle a lot, like me, I highly recommend spending the extra money for the magnetic cover.
Also... Over the years I've occasionally dropped my Kindle(s) off the sofa or an end table and both covers protected them from breaking - so I think having a cover is essential. - Bob HoweOverpriced but Amazon designed the Max 11 primarily to sell peripheral products with it.Very over priced. The Max 11 was designed to sell peripherals for profit. Frankly the fit is strong and functional but the cover seams are so close that they make using the tablet buttons very difficult. I had to cut the seams away from my buttons and file the hard white inner plastic back.
There have been a whole Lot of problems with my Max 11, from many Amazon Apps crashing to eliminating hundreds of my documents/ebooks. From having to Factory Reset to Restore to not having any way to plug in headphones, not even with a power cord/headphones splitter. The Nov 2024 Photos App update is horrible and nowhere near as good as the previous app. May I recommend using the FinalHit photo editting app instead? Because that is really good on everything but captioning (you can) which Amazon's Gallery and Photos apps no longer does.
The Max 11 may have a beautiful display and a fast processor but I would avoid it if I were you.
This is the ninth Amazon fire tablet I have had and I may not buy another one.
I really hated the problems I have had with it.
I gave the cover a 4 because the magnet is strong but you will also find it kind of hard to separate the two sides of the cover because they are so close. - Ronnie VDarned Good Kindle Cover.Although a little pricey, this is the best Kindle cover I have ever bought. Solid, perfect for attaching a stylus using the magnetic outer surface, and bendable back lid for creating a tripod effect for reading upright.
