  • Great outdoor camera for remote applications
This is the 4th brand of camera installed on the top of a street sign to monitor the condo's entrance gate. The first two brands worked for a short period and then kept losing wifi connection randomly. Next I tried cellular camera and while it worked satisfactorily, the cost of the cellular service plus the manufacturer's cloud storage plan was over $300.00 per year. The cellular camera used a solar panel to keep the proprietary internal battery charged. After extended periods of cloudy days, the battery would need to be replaced, requiring keeping a second battery and proprietary charger. Initial investment in this camera, solar panel, spare battery and charger approached $500.00. The Blink Outdoor camera plus a Blink wifi extender cost just over $100.00 and runs on two AA batteries. The video quality is just as good as the cellular camera and the cost for it's cloud storage was $40.00 per year. The Blink camera was much, much easier to get set up and running and the phone app allows for many more options on field of view, type of motion to detect and can allow multiple phones to monitor the camera. I can't comment on the battery life since the camera has only been in service for 1 week. I have removed and reinstalled the batteries after setting up the camera to verify that none of the camera settings would have to be re-done. All three of my previous cameras would randomly lose their wifi or cellular settings when changing batteries.
The other cameras that did not work well for my application may be just fine for other uses. I needed an inexpensive camera that could function 300' to 400' from the closest home wifi router. The Blink Outdoor 4 appears to be the best product for this application.
  • I'm loving the Outdoor 4! Sync module core unit performed well, also... GREAT purchase
I had a bad experience with my Blink system years ago, when I first installed it, but a Blink representative reached out to me and replaced all my cameras. This completely changed my opinion on Blink - the new cameras they sent worked as well or better than I hoped, and I was amazed at how easy the process was. However, I mention this to say that because of that experience, I was a harsh judge on the new sync core module and the Blink 4.

Here's my best example of how I feel about the Blink 4 and sync core - The camera I am reviewing now, I ordered 2 days ago, and I already ordered more and will be reviewing them next! I was so impressed with the Outdoor 4 that I bought more the very next day. I honestly didn't even strictly NEED them... but the value for the money is so good that I jumped on a sale and am rounding out my perimeter viewing.

Installation is super-simple, and the field of view blew me away. The IR emitter performs very well even on the lowest setting, and you can turn off the indicator LED if you so choose, so no one can tell if the camera is viewing them or not. The speaker is surprisingly useful for such a small size.

One thing I didn't like - the Sync Core module does not have an SD card reader, so you are limited to live view or a cloud-based, subscription service. Amazon makes this very clear on their page, even putting it in a colored callout box, so this is not something that should come as a surprise to anyone... but I can't help but mention that this feels a bit off to me from a brand I have always found to be all about customer satisfaction. Still, they aren't hiding this fact from you, and you have 2 other options for Sync modules if you don't like this feature. I was able to find a doorbell, Outdoor 4, and Sync XR package on sale for a fantastic price, so I bought that, too, and will use the Sync XR. I like having the Core as a backup, so this isn't a star-removing thing for me... but I hope Blink doesn't start making their systems less accessible to the consumer. That is what made me love them - that, and the unprecedented customer service!

All my other Blink products have been gentle on the batteries, so I believe them when they say the Outdoor 4 can go 2 years on the included lithium AA batteries. These cameras are a giant leap forward from my older cameras, that I still love, and Blink has proven to me they are committed to customer satisfaction by doing more than they had to for me those years ago when I was unhappy. Not only can I say I will buy again, I already did, the very next day after using the Outdoor 4 for the first time. I'm completely satisfied and then some!
  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Value & I Feel So Much Safer Now
I had Blink cameras about 3–4 years ago and didn’t really like the camera build quality or the app experience at the time. The video itself was fine, but the overall system just wasn’t what I wanted, so I switched to a Ring doorbell. That worked well, but I still always wanted multiple cameras around the house — and most brands charge $60–$80 per camera, which adds up fast.
So when I saw this deal for 5 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras + the Sync Module for only $120, I couldn’t believe it. Even if nothing had improved, the price alone would’ve made it worth it. But I was honestly surprised — Blink has come a long way.
The app is smoother and easier to use now, the cameras feel more solid, and they even upgraded to USB-C instead of the old connector. On top of that, they include Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries in every camera. Those batteries are around $15 for a 4-pack at stores, and this kit gives you 10 batteries included, which is about $35–$40 of value just in batteries. Plus, these are the batteries rated to last up to 2 years per camera.
When you factor that in, the price gets even better:
    Paid: $120
Minus ~$35–$40 worth of batteries included
That comes out to roughly $16–$18 per camera, plus the Sync Module.
And with all 5 cameras set up around my house, I genuinely feel safer now. I have full coverage day and night, and I can check in from anywhere. No more wondering what’s going on outside or around the property. It’s just peace of mind.
This is easily one of the best deals I’ve seen for home security. If you’ve been on the fence because of price, this is absolutely the time to jump in.
    Highly recommended.
