- Christine M. PierceSoft rainbow of colors, convenientVery useful rainbow of colors and is fine enough to sew delicate fabric. The kit comes with needles and tools to help thread the needles. Very convenient mending kit with enough thread to actually do something. I was able to use the thread on my sewing machine.

- DDShpprTeeny Spools and Terrible NeedlesThis set has many different colors of thread and is useful for any small hand sewing project. The needles are not great, they tend to bend and rust easily. I recommend using a more "name brand" needle. Although the color of the threads are many and varied, the spools are quite small. I suspected they would be smaller than traditional spools of thread, but they are about as thick as a ladies size 5-6 ring finger- very trim for a thread spool. The spools appeared larger in the product description page. The quality of the thread is ok so far, but the needles really are the worst I have ever used.
So- 4 stars for variety of colors and number of spools. 2.5 stars for size of spools and 1 star for quality of needles. - Dana L.too many seem to be duplicatesI ordered this because I wanted a large selection of colors, but there are so many that appear to be doubles, or the difference is so slight, it's barely noticeable. Also, while there are fluorescents in green and orange, there are none in pink or yellow. There are way too many versions of chartreuse, which is a pretty rare color, to start with. Attaching a picture to show some that look the same - 2 dark greens, 2 navies, a few charcoal greys, a dark brown that looks like 4 appear nearly identical. I have not opened it yet since I might still return it, but if I open, I am guessing a few others are identical or pretty close to identical. I have a very strong sense of color. (I studied art and was a jewelry designer for years,) but I can easily detect even very subtle differences in shades and tones...

- GTooo small for sewing machineThose threads are so tiny, I can't use it on my sewing machine! They are for smal hand sewing projects. Ccolor palette grate, but in order to use them for sewing machine they must be 10 times bigger size.
