If a Mechanic scans your car, figure $100 bucks for starters and the costs go up in a no linear scale. Very Compatible with my 2014 Suburban, Connected great, First time, and no issues noted! Even if you are not a mechanic, this is good to have... At least you can get an idea of what you are looking at and may show you that your Mechanic is Gouging you for non-existanct repairs!

But it still comes on and Stays off till I fill up. I needed way to clear code and make sure it’s not something else triggering light. This was simple to use plug it in and it works right away. Was able to read the code and then clear it to turn off check engine light. Diagnostic code was exactly what I was told by mechanic 2 times. Great value and peace of mind. Should have bought one sooner. Every car owner should have one.

I like to keep this in my car that since had hit over 150,000 miles seems to act up every couple months. It is very easy to use and is pretty basic. Plug it in, start your engine and hit enter. It tells you how many codes you have and a basic description. Then if you choose to you can erase the code. Has other features I really don't use.
Used it on my boyfriend's F350. But since it was just an inexpensive reader he had his son use a high tech one he had. Surprise it showed the same code and the same description.
Been a few years and it is still working like new, (unlike my car lol)
