- Nick PooleCredit Card REQUIRED for activation.Sucks. Don't do it. This is a pre-paid sim card, but you can't activate it without giving your credit card information. Even if one is fine with it, the account set-up process is way over-the-top for what should be minimal hassle for $15 a month. I bailed when there was no way to proceed without the credit card.
- RossThis SIM card works exactly as specifiedThis product works exactly as advertised. It should be noted that it uses just T-Mobile network and not the networks of T-Mobile's partners (for example, in Alaska). But, within the range of T-Mobile's networks, these SIM cards work well. Installation was straight forward. The registration process does require the recording of a telephone number. As I am a visitor to the USA and not looking to port a number, I used the number of a colleague here in the USA. That number changes to your own once you have registered. You do need to provide a credit or debit card number or similar, but that is understandable as the pre-payment is just for one month. When I leave the country, I can readily cancel my subscription.
