- Karyn GoglioSmoothest Pens Ever! These are my absolute go-to pens. The ink flows so smoothly without skipping, and the fine 0.7 tip is perfect for everyday writing, journaling, and note-taking. They dry quickly, so I don’t get smudges, and they last longer than most gel pens I’ve tried. The grip is super comfortable, making long writing sessions easy. Having a 12-pack is a lifesaver since I keep them everywhere—desk, bag, and car. If you love clean, consistent writing, these are the best!
- Rich ReviewsSmooth, Reliable Pens for Everyday WritingSmooth, Reliable Pens for Everyday Writing
The Pilot G2 0.7mm gel pens are some of the most dependable pens I’ve used for both work and personal writing. The ink flows smoothly without skipping, and the fine point strikes a nice balance—precise enough for detailed notes but not so thin that it feels scratchy. The black ink is bold and dries fairly quickly, which keeps smudging to a minimum, even for left-handed writers.
The comfort grip makes them easy to hold during long writing sessions, and the retractable design means no lost caps. I also like that they’re refillable, which saves money and reduces waste compared to disposable pens. A box of 12 goes a long way in keeping desks, bags, and around-the-house spots stocked.
One small note: because they’re gel pens, the ink can run out faster than standard ballpoints, especially if you write a lot. But the writing experience is smooth enough to make it worth it.
Bottom line: A classic, high-quality pen that delivers smooth, consistent writing—great for work, journaling, or everyday use. - NicholasWorld's Best PensI could go on and on and on about these pens, but I'll spare you the misery. Pilot G2s are the most versatile, practical pens probably in the world. The pros? Cheap, nice black ink, writes quickly and smoothly, on most paper, and 0.7mm is the ideal size for a normal person. Con? Literally the only issue is if you slide your hand over freshly written content, it'll often smear. I use these pens at college, at home, and at work, and I will never switch to a different pen.
- KCReliable, smooth, and just the right penThese are my favorite pens. I will admit I do not write by hand as much as I used to, so I cannot claim to know every top-tier gel roller out there, but these are the ones I always buy. They fit my hand well, come in several fineness options, and never skip.
The ink flow is smooth and consistent, and the pens just work. They may not be the absolute best on the market, but I am not interested in spending the time or money to find out what is. I also just learned that they are refillable, which means no more tossing them in the trash when they run out of ink. - NCBirdmanPilot G2 is my only go-to for everyday-use pens, over 2 decades long!Ever since I found the Pilot G2 series pens back in the early 2000's I've never bought another brand and don't plan to. The ergonomics, pen ink smoothness, quality and long lasting are why I'll just add another box to the cart when we run our current pens out of ink. I don't think I've ever had a Pilot G2 pen not work until the very last drop of ink ran out. They never clog, break, or won't click. The 0.5 and 0.7 are my favorite thicknesses, the 0.5's make just a little bit thinner line for more precise writing/drawing, etc.
- A+AA+Best pens! They write really smoothly.
