They're a decently thick knit, not see-through, and they are reasonably stretchy enough to accommodate a change of size. They were true to size as well; I did not have any issues with the sizing (my daughter is 30th percentile for height and 60th for weight). The only thing I would change: it would be nice if they had grippy material on the bottom, because without shoes, the tights are of course very slippery. The colors did not bleed and I have had no trouble getting stains out of the white pair of tights.
