The connectors that were included with the units made it easy to assemble. They are not the heavy duty shelves that some people think they were going to get, but as long as you don’t overload a shelf they work as intended

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a good product

Horrible product. The metal is very weak and I would compare it to Reynolds wrap. I would say Reynolds wrap is better. Every time I grab a piece to lock it in it would either bend. I should not be able to bend it with my bare hand or it would come loose. I wished I just had one built that would be sturdy. No way this is a steal product! Interesting part is when you put one shelf together and then you have to add another half to place on top of it by using a plastic tea! A plastic tea would not last and securing the top and the bottom. I'm serious my 9-year-old could design a better shelving system than this! I would not buy at all and I regret my purchase because I am concerned that it will fall apart. I don't think duct tape could fix it. I would advise this company to use a thicker metal that actually is better than aluminum and also would recommend the company to use longer eyes to snap into the brackets. A metal tee to fasten both shelves. If they do not want to do that I would recommend using a bolting system of some sort which would be a lot better for that flimsy material. I sent the other cabinet back or shelf and so far, as of today I have not received a refund. Imagine that? I received a partial refund for a product that I never opened up. Apparently, I had to pay $20.00 shipping for a defective product. I will never ever buy from this company again. Reason they don't back there products bc of shipping fee and horrible quality. If someone says it's a good product I would call bs from my experience.

Having bought four of these here’s my take. Pretty easy to put together. However it’s difficult getting started by yourself. Material is rather thin and flexible but it firms up once assembled. Two things keep these shelves from being five stars. 1. No self leveling or adjustable feet to accommodate floors. 2. Packaging needs improvement. Shelves were bent and scattered throughout the box because pieces are held together with plastic wrap.
All four boxes had the same issue to varying degrees.

They should include a clip that anchors multiple shelves together side by side and not include all the extra plastic end caps.

So what a disappointing purchase!! Look at the picture the seller shows and then compare it to what it really looks like from my review. Assembly was pretty easy except that I needed a second set of hands from my 7 year old to keep things steady while I assembled all the pieces. They are flimsy metal and until you complete the entire shelf you wonder how it's supposed to hold all the weight and how is it supposed to be so sturdy. You will need a rubber mallet that isn't included. The toy plastic hammer isn't hefty enough to break wind much less make sure something is seated correctly. Follow the instructions to a t and you will have no issues putting this shelf together. One nice thing I can say about this product is that it was definitely cheaper than other storage racks. Cheaper in the sense it was less expensive and cheaper in the sense that the metal and posts are super flimsy. I can't say anything too positive because it was way shallower than it looks like in the picture but that's on me. 16 inches is NOTHING unless you're storing cans of soda. The only good thing about this product is the shelves are adjusted relatively simple. Do yourself a favor and buy something heavier duty from Lowe's and something that will actually store something other than lego's.

This thing does not feel like sturdy metal like I thought it would. It was also an absolute nightmare to put together alone. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just gotten the thick plastic kinda and spared myself the headache.

First, the “heavy duty” metal bends very easily. So much so that the L-shaped posts get bent in so much that the plastic connectors won’t fit in them.

Secondly – and this boggles my mind how this even made it to market — the rivets and the channels they’re supposed to lock into do not easily fit together. The typical way this works is the rivet is like a button top screw where the head of the rivet is wider than the body. Like a T if you look at its profile. That’s supposed to slide into the channel so that the channel hugs the head of the rivet and makes it impossible to pull out.

This design uses a V-shaped channel though as opposed to a U-shaped channel. Picture that same screw. Now point the head of the screw away from you. No slide that screw down a U-shaped channel with the head of the screw behind the U. If you try pulling the screw towards you, you can’t because the head is locked behind the U. Even if it jostles a bit, it won’t come out until you slide it all the way up and out of the channel. Now do the same thing with a V-shaped channel. As soon as you jostle the screw a tiny bit it’ll pop right out.

Basically what this means is that when you try to put this thing together, any slight brush against the structure can jostle the rivets out of place and the whole thing will come crashing down. It’s inane. They include a very useless plastic mallet that I suppose you’re supposed to use to tamp down the rivet into the channel, but it does absolutely nothing except make a heck of a racket.

I finally managed to get this thing together using duct tape to secure the bars in place. And I’m not touching it again so gravity can keep the shelves locked down at the bottom of the V. But the whole thing still feels pretty wobbly and if I ever try and lift it, I’m sure it’ll fall apart.

Now that it’s in place and stationary, I’m sure it’s fine. But the whole thing was a huge pain. I would highly recommend getting another brand that can follow some very basic design principles.
