About this item
- Childproofing Your Home. Baby Proof Corners and Edges of Furniture and Fireplace. HeftyFit HEAVY-DUTY PREMIUM RUBBER FOAM: Shore A 20-N density / 0.4-inch thick / 0.8-inch deep - maximum impact absorbent.
- CLEAN SAFETY: Roving Cove uses safe and pure raw material and was the first brand to make foam safety bumpers without the use of toxic flame-retardant chemicals (SCCPs). Our edge corner guards contain no BPA, no phthalates, no heavy metals, no latex, no SCCPs. Inherently flame-resistant; passed flammability tests under US regulations.

- DanielPerfect with walking/crawling babies.Works great. Tape holds it down very well. Easy to install and has already protected her head from bumping the edges. Fits perfectly. Easy to cut to size. Soft enough so it won’t hurt when she bumps it but tough enough so she can’t bite through.
- Amazon CustomerGreat product! This stuff works great. Cushiony. Perfect to prevent little ones from hurting their heads on sharp corners and marble window sills in our case. Easy to put on. Can cut to size. It’s white so not hidden on darker furniture. The bulkiness is what makes it work. We have used clear plastic corners before and they are sleeker and less visible but are hard so don’t help much.
- RoyceGreat product! Installation tip belowI am pleasantly surprised with this foam! It is thick, definitely provides great cushioning and the adhesive tape works super well!!
Some cons:
- Not super aesthetically pleasing. If that matters to you; then this may not be the best product
- It is tricky to stick it down perfectly and evenly, especially larger strips
- installation is annoying unless you do it a specific way
Pros:
- Thick and durable
- Good size for most edges. If it’s too narrow might be difficult to get bottom and top
- Easy to cut (used kitchen scissors)
We used this around our toddlers new floor bed. The edges were wood and she had bumped her shin or head several times in the first day so I wanted to pad it for her. We put these strips on the inner edges and then laid a blanket over them. They work great!
A note of installation: maybe this is obvious to people but definitely apply the adjective tape to the furniture, NOT the foam strips (see photo). The foam strips come rolled up so they’re hard to straighten out and applying the tape to the inner foam strip drove me nuts. But putting the tape on the furniture edge, and then sticking the foam to it from there was super quick and easy. - Kindle CustomerSleek and EffectiveI’ve been using the Roving Cove Slim-Fit Corner Edge Protector to baby-proof the sharp edges and corners of our furniture, and overall, it’s been a great purchase.
Pros:
The coffee brown color blends in beautifully with my wooden furniture—much better than bulky, bright-colored guards.
The slim design makes it discreet and doesn’t add awkward bulk.
Made from soft yet firm NBR rubber foam, it cushions well and protects my toddler from bumps.
The 3M adhesive is strong and easy to install. After a few weeks, it’s still holding firmly in place.
Comes with enough length to cover 15 feet of edges and 4 corners, which is perfect for most small rooms.
Cons:
It took some effort to make sure the adhesive stuck perfectly on some textured surfaces.
If you have very thick or unusually shaped corners, the slim fit might not cover as fully as bulkier options.
Final thoughts:
This edge protector strikes a nice balance between safety and aesthetics. It’s perfect if you want something effective without it being an eyesore. I recommend it for parents who want subtle, reliable baby-proofing. - Eileen WGood productIt's easy to apply and so far it's held up really good. Even when the 12 month old pulls himself up on it so far so good it's held tight.
- William AbnerHas held up for 2 years so farWorks well. I’ve had this padding up on my doorframes for about 2 years now for my blind dog. The padding is still soft enough and the adhesive has held. I removed it in a couple of places and it took some of the paint off of the doorframe. Still worth it for me since it provides protection from the corners and I can sand and repaint the door frames. But beware that the adhesive is strong. I wouldn’t use it on a stained wood surface in case of damage.
- Meg from Shaker Heights. OHThese are great. These are outstanding! Easy to apply, very thick protection. Purchased to protect new cabinetry and vanities going into a renovated bathroom. They are doing the job well all the workers are bumping around finishing up. Cannot recommend highly enough.
- Amazon CustomerGood but a hassleEdge protector is fine. Nice and soft and easy to cut. My problem with it is that the double sided tape is separate and doesn't come already on the foam. You must stick the tape on both sides of the the inside of the foam before using it which is a hassle for longer pieces. Only the corner pieces already come taped.
