- Drummer Dude 75Well worth the money!We wanted to test our apartment air due to a major leak that affected our apartment and the entire building just for peace of mind. After setting 4 of the dishes out and following the instructions for incubation times and temps, I wasn't quite sure when comparing our results to that in the booklet so I emailed the company with the images. They replied 2 days later with an extremely detailed PDF describing each of the 4 mold types, their degree of commonality and risk factors. Just a brilliant response that helped tremendously and provided ways to resolve and inhibit growth going forward. For $15 it was completely worth it. 5 Stars!
- Chris A.Easiest Way to Test for Mold!!I used these for air quality testing only, after my family kept getting sick. This first picture is an outside control, and the entire dish is completely covered in several different types of mold. So to no surprise, the indoor air was awful as well. There are zero signs of mold in our house. There’s no mold in the shower corners, the laundry room, absolutely none. Granted, we keep the house clean so there isn’t much of a chance (I did swab tests separately and there was next to nothing on any surface tests). Our air however, was clearly suffering. The vast majority of mold was found in the spaces where we have carpet - which is only about 1/3 of our entire house. Again, oddly enough, a surface tests on the carpets resulted in little to no mold, but the air surrounding the carpets was terrible!
As far as this product - it’s phenomenal. It is super easy to use, the instructions are clear and include photo examples, and the whole kit is very user friendly and functional. I will say, I had one lid crack before I used that dish, and it was merely dropped on the floor. The results started popping up right around the 24 hour mark. - JenniferEasy to use and Excellent Customer CareI wish I didn't need to purchase these, but I'm glad that I chose this one to purchase. The shipping was very quick, package arrived in good shape. The tests are inexpensive and easy to set up. Once they've started growing things, the more challenging tasks come up - patience and identification. Our samples took a few days to really get going, but once they did, I thumped through the book over and over to satisfy my curiosity. I figured out a few types of mold in the booklet, but I was not sure on the others. I sent a photo of the sample and growth in, and within 12 hours I had a response that was detailed and helped through the "how do I fix this" moments. The customer service after the sale process they care.
