This past winter we had a couple of bad ice/snow storms which required some sort of ice melt to go on my steps and walking areas. However, I did not want to use anything that might harm my cats if they accidentally injested it. I researched and found this product and loved it. I was able to have enough for the storms this winter with half of the container leftover for future use. My cats walked all in it and it did not effect them whatsoever. And it served the true purpose of melting the snow and ice. Win-Win!

I really appreciate the size and weight of the contain as it is easy to hold and shake out without hurting your back or shoulders. Each container has enough in it to last a while or through multiple storms. There was one storm that recently passed through where there was a lot of ice mixed in with the snow and this helped not only melt the ice but provided good amount of attraction for walking on the sidewalk. I will be ordering another container before the next storm rolls through later this week!

But seriously it worked great on the ice. I needed to sprinkle it pretty heavily but when I did, a few hours later the ice was either melted or thin enough to break apart and remove manually.

I buy it this time of year…sounds strange, but it’s a great product - K8Doesn’t work well in extreme coldI realize it’s been very cold here in Boulder, Colorado. We went down to -4°. But yesterday it was in the 20° range and the ice just did not melt on my front walkway. I was hoping this would work because I have a little Chihuahua that I don’t want to hurt or damaging in anyway from the toxic effects of ice melting products
