- Deborah A.LechienGreat read !I just finished this book and thoroughly enjoyed it.It was interesting because the reader will see Alex Cross before he becomes ALEX CROSS and the reaser gets to know his first wife,Maria.
- Susan BakerQuick readExcellent author
- Kindle CustomerInteresting story from Alex Cross pastDid we need a flashback story about a long dead serial killer from Cross past? Maybe, maybe not. This book starts in the present with the discovery of a hidden home of the Spider, a serial killer caught by Cross years ago. What was discovered in that cabin shakes Cross to the core. And the book explains why. It takes us to the very beginning of Cross's career as a detective as he and his partner and lifetime friend investigate a series of murders. The main flashback is killings by the Spider in the past. These murders lead to the arrest of two people who spend their life in prison. But the house tells a different story. It's also interesting to see Cross's personal life with his first wife Maria. Their son is a toddler and their daughter is born. And we learn about Maria's murder. For longtime Cross fans this look back is interesting. Personally I'm not sure I needed to read about the past but I still enjoyed the book.
- Elaine ThompsonJames Patterson's book Return of the SpiderI just received my replacement book of James Patterson's Return of the Spider. It's in perfect condition I'm an avid Collector and reader, of James Patterson's/Alex Cross, as well as his Women's Murder Club Hardcover books.I have All the books from both of the series mentioned above I can hardly wait to start reading it tonight I love James Patterson he writes the best books I've ever read. I have most all of his other books in hardcover as well I have to admit my collection is great. I dont read the books themselves,I read them on my tablet,so my books are not damaged in any way. I've been Collecting and reading James Patterson's books for many years. He's a great author, The Best, IMO. Thank you very much to the seller and to Amazon Definitely give them 5 Stars
- Carol OlahAnother good one from Patterson and Detective CrossGood book. Kind of rehashes an old case. Adds a few things. Cross's and Sampson's first big case as a rooky detectives. What did they miss? Soneji was a slick one, fooled everyone from his co-workers to his family. Deadly, deceiving. Always one up on the cops. Brings in to light some of the other characters who appeared in the first book, the what they were before. Patterson can always keep you on the edge of your seat and not want to put the book down until it's done.
Cross hones in on his profiling skills, trying to convince the higher ups that he can do the job. A little past and present. Did Soneji really die in that blow up at the rail station? - marijaneatheyokay readThis version of Alex became who he is is a different look from other stories, It may have cleared up some questions from the past but just did fit with my idea of the man. Worth the read
- Kindle CustomerA good bookA great James Patterson read. I read the first book many years ago and I did like that one better. It was nice to read an Alex Cross novel again. I had given up reading Alex Cross, they all seemed to me like they were hurriedly written but I gave this one a try and I'm glad I did. If you read the original return of the spider I think you might like this one too.
- LettyAnnThrilling ReadI love Alex Cross and this book was thrilling. I was a little disappointed in the wrapping up of the story but this book was well written and exciting to read.
