great gift for the hikers in your life! - MMGreat gift for outdoors enthusiastsPerfect gift for outdoors enthusiasts. The pictures are amazing and the content is excellent. Makes you want to get out in those hikes and start checking them off.
- bluebirdBeautiful and well-bound bookClassic quality of National Geographic publications with dramatic and diverse photography and copy that is both enjoyable and informative. The foreword by Adam Sakura adds a nice touch. Kate Siber writes engaging and descriptive introductions to each hike and provides critical details (distance, best time to go, length of trip, difficulty) Novices will appreciate some of the packing information. Display it on the coffee table and you’ll find yourself picking it up frequently to dream of and plan your next adventure.

The book I received is spiral bound, rather than hard cover. I cannot find anything in the product description or even other buyers’ reviews indicating that it would come like this. It was described as “a beautiful coffee table book.” I am going to try to contact the seller to have it replaced. The content of the book looks awesome , but the binding is a huge buzzkill. - Dineen B.So many wonderful ideas of where to hikeAs my son became more involved in hiking I was so happy to see he now has a passion. He hikes mostly in the New England area and when he has nothing planned or bored, he'll randomly go local. I bought this as part of a hiking theme gift and he was so excited to get it. He is now planning actual vacations to some of the locations in the book and has goals of places throughout. So glad I got him this.
