We use these to manage our fleet of tools and get a quick check on where something is, or even avoid the dreaded situation of being left on a job site. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to attach to anything I don’t want to lose. The app connects quickly, and the Bluetooth range is surprisingly strong—I can usually find my items within seconds.
The ringtone is loud enough to hear across the room, and the map feature is super helpful if I’ve left something behind when I’m out. I also like that it works with both Android and iPhone with no hassle.
If you’re someone who misplaces things (like me!), this little tracker is definitely worth it. Dependable, easy to use, and a great everyday helper. Air Canada lost my bag coming back to ATL from YYZ, and the Tile app let me know before I even got to the international baggage claim. As soon as I turned off airplane mode, I checked the app and saw my bag was still in Mississauga. At first I thought maybe the Bluetooth signal was off, but the Tile was right.
This experience helped me discover Tile's community find feature. It seems that any phone running the Tile app that comes within Bluetooth range of your lost Tile will automatically and anonymously update its location. When that happens, you're notified of the updated location through the app. If someone wants to return your Tile, they can use in-app messaging for security or if enabled, they can contact you using the info you provide in the Notify When Found setting. To turn it on, open the Tile app, select your Tile, tap Notify When Found, and hit Done. If your Tile has a QR code, you can also add contact info so someone can reach you if they find it.
Setting up the Tile is easy too. Download the Tile app, create an account, press the button on your Tile, and follow the pairing steps in the app. Once it's connected, you're ready to go. Tile and its features helped confirm my bag's location and gave me a heads-up that it was missing. I had to submit a form with Air Canada just in case it never showed up, but thankfully it did and I'm reunited with my Tile.
All in all, this is worth every penny and I'm so glad I had this with me! It's super handy and I'll be using it for all my trips now. - Kindle CustomerToo many notifications/ pushy featuresDoes what it should but way to many notifications to "improve" it. I do not want to join a circle. I do not want to check in to locations. I do not want it to track my physical activities. I don't even want my GPS on but it will not work at all with it off. I thought this product only needed Bluetooth. I had to turn off notifications for this app because they would pop up every few minutes. So now the tile won't find my phone if I need it to because I turned off notifications. But hey, the app will find my keys, but only if I have Bluetooth and GPS on all the time.
