My dislikes are it has a shorter battery life than than the Sonicare and, the replacement heads are way overpriced, and while the different modes are nice, there’s no indicator to tell you what mode it’s currently in. It’s fairly quiet and my teeth feel cleaner so I still like and it seems like a quality product.
- Big ExpectationsImpressed the dentist!This was my first electric toothbrush after going manual for 66 years, and now I'm wondering why I waited! Easy to use, charge lasts at least 3 months, and next time I went to get a cleaning at the dentist after a few months use and they said they didn't have to scrape off hardly any tartar! and Zero tartar on my second cleaning 6 months later! I did have a gold crown fall off and wondered if the vibrations this thing has would cause that to come loose, but the dentist says he has never had that complaint before... just don't touch the vibrating parts to the crown maybe...but the brushes shouldn't cause that to happen. Charges quickly and holds a charge. Hopefully it will stand the test of time now...
- SWYGreat brushThis is a nice step up from our previous Oral-B brushes. Those were fine, but as tends to happen after a few years they stopped recharging. This one charges on the same base, but they use a different (and slightly more expensive) brush head. So that is something to know about them up front.
They have a nice variety of settings that should suit most folks. Some of the higher-level models have more, but I can't imagine that you need them. This has a daily, sensitive, and whitening mode. I can't really tell the difference between them yet.
I thought my teeth felt clean with my last model, but they REALLY do now! I also like how this one works with the timing alerts. You get the 30-second reminders, but it doesn't shut off at the end of 2 minutes in case you have an area that needs a little more time. You can also pause it for a moment (to spit, for example) and it will remember where you were. This is my new favorite feature (aside from thorough brushing of course).
I chose this particular model because I found it to be the best value for the provided features. The travel case is great, too, so you never have to be without the great brushing! There is plenty of battery power to make it for most vacations with no need to pack your charger.
The pressure sensor ensures I brush with enough pressure, and keeps my husband brushing without too much! (This was a real problem for him, and the red only didn't deter him, the way keeping in the green works for him now. Battery Life: While the battery lasts a decent amount of time, it’s not as long as some other models out there. It requires charging every couple of weeks depending on use, but this isn’t a huge inconvenience for me.
