- Nelson David AcevedoA must-have for your vinyl collectionIt is an amazing record, I want to have the most important albums of different genres on Internet classification I note this album and I’ve listened in Spotify immediately I wanted it and bought it. Now is in my special collection. It is pretty crazy….
- Tasker HarrisA must listen album! If new to music, new to the rock scene in general, or new to Linkin Park, this is a must listen album!
Papercut - An awesome opening track for an album, and when someone tells me to give them a song to listen to by them, this is a track that always comes to mind. Has bright, vibrant, filling guitar from Brad, has rapping from Mike, has nice, bright singing from Chester, and even a little vocal frying from him at the end of every chorus.
One Step Closer - A very, angst-y if you will, track. No doubt about it though a very good track still, with Chester pulling impressive tasks with his voice in this track. Again, a song that aged okay, but can most definitely can still be loved and appreciated by people like me in 2018.
With You - An okay track in my opinion, good rapping from Mike, excellent vocal skills yet again with Chester, but not as catchy or easily liked as other tracks on this album. I really like this one performed live however, Chester does a massive scream a majority of the time that's completely awesome!
Points of Authority - A loved track by many, in my opinion I like it okay. Catchy lines by Mike, and I really like the drumming on this track too.
Crawling - A track known by many, even if not a Linkin Park fan. Mostly seen by many as one of their meme songs because of how angst and such this track is seen as, it's still a good listen.
Runaway - A powerful track in my opinion, very good vocal work from Chester, and I love the guitar on here from Brad also.
By Myself - Easily my least favorite track on this album. Very few times have I wanted to intentionally listen to this track, can be very annoying after a few listens to say the least. BUT my all time favorite when it comes to live performances. Live in Texas has an awesome build up leading to this song, and Chester jumping all around while doing, what I think, were some of his best screams ever!
In the End - The other meme song, and easily one of the more catchy and poppy tunes off this album. Not a bad track by any means, but a little over rated.
A Place for My Head - I love the guitar work on this track, very good vocal work from Chester with nice and quick control over his voice to go very quickly from whispering to screaming (even if done in separate tracks/ takes, he's able to pull it off live) good rapping from Mike, and an overall stable track.
Forgotten - Some days I feel this track, other days not so much. The rapping on this track is one of my favorites by Mike, along with quick finger work on the guitar from Brad. And this is one of my favorite tracks on the remix album; Reanimation.
Cure For the Itch - An awesome turntable song from Joe Hahn. Nothing more to say. It's Mr. Hahn.
Pushing Me Away - One of my favorite closers to an album. More importantly one of my favorite LP songs in general. Brad's guitar work really shines through the whole song, Chester's vocals are as strong as ever, and it's just an overall good track
Album rating 1-10 (10 being the best)
8.5/10 - MisterAlexOne of the BEST albums from the past decadeThe classic Hybrid Theory.... ah I've listened to this album a ton of times, and it is easily one of the best albums released in the past decade. Linkin Park's debut album has a great mix of catchy songs, great beats, and a whole load of meaning behind it. I can't figure out which is my favorite between this album and the album following it(Meteora).
Papercut - Starts off with a great beat and is followed by a catchy guitar hook. The lyrics are also pretty catchy and easy to memorize, including the rap verses.
10/10
One Step Closer - A fast song, leads off with a guitar with Chester's great vocals. The breakdown in the song is great, the song itself is one of Linkin Park's most famous singles and most catchy
9.5/10
With You - Awesome DJing from Mr Hahn at the start, the rapping verses sound great, and at the breakdown, Mr Hahn pulls off his magic along with Chester having his voice flow in this song with Mike's rapping
10/10
Points of Authority - Another great song, shorter than others but rapping is super catchy
9.5/10
Crawling - Great vocals from Chester on this one, one of the heavy songs in the album compared to others, little rapping, but nonetheless very great song
10/10
Runaway - Great verses, great chorus, great breakdown, I love this song, the lyrics aren't as catchy, but they are the most memorable from the album
10/10
By Myself - A Bit different from the others, it leans on more of Mike's rapping verses than Chester's chorus and background vocals
8.5/10
In The End - Obviously this is one of the most famous Linkin Park songs, in fact, this is one of their signature songs that brought them into stardom. Excellent rapping verses, great chorus, and great bridge. The piano intro will have everyone easily recognize this song.
10/10
A Place For My Head - Most underrated song out of the album in my opinion. Honestly this is a great follow up to In The End, Rapping verses are extremely catchy, and you can't help but scream along with Chester in the breakdown. Chester's voice sounds amazing in this song, and this is one of the best songs where his vocal flows perfectly(including In The End, Numb, Breaking the Habit, and From The Inside)
10/10
Forgotten - Not many people have heard of this song, one of the gems of this album, has a nice fast start to it, and has a sudden ending.
9/10
Cure for the Itch - Purely a DJ experiment from Mr Hahn, the beats are pretty good and slow
8.5/10
Pushing Me Away - A soft song with a great chorus, I enjoy all versions of this song(Live from Texas, HT Version, and Piano versions) I love the lyrics on this song, and I remember the start of this song as soon as I hear it. This song should've had more recognition than it originally got.
10/10
