- Walt SSmart and good looking!We took our bird watching to the next level of enjoyment with this bird feeder. I found the assembly was very easy with multiple mounting options including a strap for trees, clamps for pole mounting, or hanging from a bracket. The Wi-Fi connection was strong even though I was in the back of my yard. Once mounted it was fully charged using the solar panel within a few hours.
The feeder looks great, is well engineered, and built of quality components. The camera takes great videos and pictures. It even includes a microphone and speaker! The detection which can be set for any objects or just birds/squirrels is really handy. I can use it to monitor my pool area.
The smart features are really fun! Sharing pictures of the bird visitors, notification of birds, and it even includes a squirrel expulsion feature. I can’t wait to see the squirrel reaction to the siren.
Note that the AI identification feature requires a paid subscription. Local storage requires an optional microSD card.

There are two options for the roof, wood or metal. I chose the metal as we have some rogue squirrels that love chewing on things. Setup of the camera was user friendly and the range was good. The camera pops in and out of the house which makes it easy to recharge the battery. You could also purchase a solar panel separately to keep the battery charged all of the time. Filling the feeder is easy as well. The roof is hinged and allows you to flip it up and pour the seeds of your choice. Great purchase all around.

The installation was a breeze — most parts came pre-assembled, which is a big improvement from the first generation. The video quality is surprisingly good, and I especially appreciate the background blur option that helps protect my neighbors’ privacy.
The build feels very solid and well-made; I’m confident it’ll hold up well over time. The only minor downside is that the “squirrel deterrent” feature isn’t very effective — the local squirrels seem to figure it out pretty quickly.
