- LemansExcellent DisposalI purchased this product because my old,(10 years or older) disposal shorted out. It was a "like for like" purchase. Which means, it was the same brand but I opted for higher horsepower.
To my delight, the in sink existing hardware matched the new model. It took less than half an hour to install without the high cost of a plumber.
It works great and will probably last 10 or more years!
Great product, great purchase that contributes positively to environmental health by diverting food waste from landfills, reducing methane emissions (a potent greenhouse gas), and supporting energy recovery at wastewater treatment facilities.

- BillySo Far it Works GreatThis review would be a 5 star based only on the actual disposal performance as this brand is excellent, thats why I ordered it. The downside for me was I ordered with the power cord and got the disposal without a power cord so I had to wire the power cord from the old disposal to this one and I am no electrician or really even much of a handyman to begin with so I wasn’t excited about doing that. (They did refund a couple dollars for the difference between this disposal and the one without the power cord).
I see where people say it doesn’t make noise but I cant share in that experience because it does make some noise, it’s not obnoxiously loud at all but you’re going to hear it turn on.
Installation wasn’t that difficult and honestly if I didn’t have to wore the power cord it would have been much easier and faster. This is a DIY project almost anyone can do as long as you can get yourself under the sink.
I will update this in a year or so if the performance becomes any sort of issue but as of now it works great. - Anastasiyabest option!does the job! had no problem with installation and zero smell after months of use! quickly grinds food and noise level is about the normal amount.

Checked out all the local stores and couldn't find a corded one. Each one required you to order online taking at least 3-5 days. Purchased on Amazon for a reasonable price and received it within hours. The product is just as we needed. Good quality. Easy to attach. Its just simply lining it up. All the tools are needed if you want or need to change sink parts. And it comes with a stopper. Its quiet and powerful. Great buy
- JCExcellent quality and super easy installation!My garbage disposal (InSinkErator Badger 1, 1/3hwp, 7 years old) started leaking this weekend and after watching some you tube videos, I discovered the issue was corrosion and cracks on the bottom plate of the disposal. I was hoping I could fix it with JB Weld and seal it, however once getting it apart and to the issue, the corrosion was much worse than the ones from the videos and even after extensive cleaning, it was still really disgusting.
So, I replaced it with this InSinkErator Badger 5, 1/2hwp for a little more power. Same day delivery and it was a very quick and simple process! Since I already had the old one off, and the bracket attached to the sink was the same, it took less than 10 minutes to install the new one and hook it up. I have no prior experience with this, and this was my first attempt at anything plumbing, so it really is "Easy Installation"!
While having the old one off, I also took off all of the other pipes and cleaned them out as well, as they were really gross and grimey. I am so glad this process was much easier than I expected and was able save a lot of money by doing it myself!
IMPORTANT: Remember to remove the dishwasher knockout plug before installing, if you have a dishwasher, otherwise, it is blocked and water will be everywhere!
I highly recommend this product and brand. Excellent quality, easy to replace and Made in the USA!
